It isn't as potent as a Bow Build, but the Bow Build is still very destructive on Platinum.

I've heard that a Singularity-less Human Adept is just a gimped Krogan Shaman, but that isn't true. In fact you would be sacrificing Protection for the ability to dodge and afaik having the ability to dodge is alot better than being a tank but that's just me.

of course these set ups are less potent, but they are viable builds nonetheless.

It's certainly less dramatic without Cain mines. With mines, there are big explosions going off, the air is filled with smoke, and killstreaks galore. Without mines, you'll be plugging away at the enemy, no muss no fuss, then you notice that the wave is over and you check the scoreboard and Argent has twice your score.

Bow build is still very good, but monotonous. Also, not being able to make melee anything but B is just dreadful. Three games in, and I gave up on using the bow. Lolawkwardcontrolsforecksbawks.

Although, what you are comparing isn't really that fair:
Bow build: Decent damage, can suffer off-host.
Cain build: Insane area deeps, wipes spawns. Can also suffer off-host due to grenades being grenades.

Well, built right, the Talon can 2 melee kill Gold Pyro's and 1 melee kill pretty much every other non-boss.

Sure it's not as powerful without Cain mines, but "gimped"? It's hard to say something that powerful is gimped.

True, I like using the bow a lot and optimal is nowhere near necessary in a decent 4 person team on platinum. However, the bow has the same problem as the krogan's hammer. It is awkward to try and make use of both types at once (switching between them is wasteful of grenades/cooldown times in most cases). So I usually just skip one and max everything else.

I usually just use Concussive Arrows for Boss Shields and Phantoms. Armor Piercing for everything else. Then again I wouldn't need Concussive Arrows for Boss Shields if I'm using Disruptor ammo. I alternate between Incendiary and Disruptor depending on what the team is using so Concussive Arrow usage may vary. I waste my arrows all the time by switching and I never run out (because of thermal clip packs) and even then I almost never use all of them. even if I have Geth Scanner equipped.

Yeah, not saying it would really be a problem. I just find it interrupts my flow/feels awkward. Don't like how those powers were designed.

If Argent only has twice my score, my dog and I are high-fiving.

Why would you skip singularity on the HA? But I agree that the Bow build is still really good. Takes somewhat more finesse than the Cain mine build.

lol. Thank you for making making me look like an idiot ;). IIRC mine are fitness-less or passive-less. Only use the female nowadays though. Never tried skipping singularity, but I assume it'd be somewhat like a Human Sentinel on steroids.

I like the bow build better. I spec Cain mines but pretty much use them only when on the move and need cover an evac for a sec. Other than that it's full melee, ap arrow, power tree. Gear is hyd joints, strength 3, power amp, and incendiary with the graal. Pure glass, but it's more fun that way anyway.

He's still pretty good without Cain Mines. Cain Mines are a bit buggy when it comes to Banshees and floating enemies. Sometimes they don't go off for some reason.
