I have the classic Hits copy of Mass Effect which comes with the Bring Down the Sky DLC on the bonus disk, I installed and played that no problem, and then I downloaded Pinnacle Station through the Xbox Live Gold sale yesterday, made sure it was my language and went to play.. but it doesn't find it! In extras under DLC it just shows Bring Down the Sky and when I go in game to the right system its not there.. whats gone wrong?!
Pinnacle Station not recognised! Help!

Delete the DLC, clear your hard drive's cache to remove the patches. Re-patch it, then redownload the DLC, see if that helps.

I had the same encounter, others to. I personally deleted both DLC, installed Pinaccle Station and then BDtS. One person may have just got rid of Bring Down the Sky and reinstall that.

My Xbox told me to delete BDtS and redownload it... I just redownloaded it w/o deleting it and it works fine.

Yeah you have to make sure to download the patch on the bonus disk of the Platinum version. After doing so just redownload BDTS

Yes, this.
To recap the surest way of doing it:
1) remove both bring down the sky and pinnacle station
2) reinstall bring down the sky from the disc, and make sure that the bonus disc gets its title update! (NB. I'm saying BONUS DISC, not the game disc!)
3) redownload pinnacle station
4) play n' enjoy

Ewww Pinnacle Station. I just downloaded it today and it super sucks. Perhaps with ME2 gameplay mechanics, with multiplayer system, it could be salvaged but... wow - its very clear Bioware had very little involvement in it.
BDTS is pretty good
(really annoying turrets aside), but doesn't fit into the storyline in any way other than as an introduction to the Batarians and telling about Terra Nova.
BDTS is pretty good
