Yo!

Wondering what is going to happen with all the delicious reaper bodies scattered around the galaxy... I bet Cerberus would want to do something really nasty with those tech mines.

Imagine waking up in the ruins of London pretty banged up and the next thing you have to do is stop these guys and their new 2km tall pets with a big Cerberus logo on them. :D

Are you sure? :) 1 Citadel dreamscene is not real (otherwise how could Shep get up in London, TIM was a manifestation of the bad way and image of control in Sheps mind) 2 " Cerberus is an idea, which is not so easily destroyed" remember? :P

*must add "imho" don't want to start a revolution :D

I am sure, I don't believe in IT. TIM is gone for good and ideas don't recycle giant robots :P.

I don't believe in IT neither, but Remember Leviathan? Talked about the "intelligence" that created the first Reaper for his "solution" from that race, it was Harbringer. The rest, was the result of the cycles, 1 cycle 1 more reaper from the harvest and so on. So I guess Shep wasn't indoctrinated or anything, just dying, and speaking with that "intelligence". Speaking... Listening his bulls**t :D and actually I believe in that... the catalyst was Sheprad itself. Pretty rough isn't it :)

Wrong, Cerberus is an idea and ideas are bullet proof.

But if Shepard never really went up that beam that means he never stopped the Reapers. Then there wouldn't be dead Reaper bodies lying around in the first place. And that would still mean Cerberus is gone  .... along with the rest of the galactic civilization ;)

Oh Dear Friend :) Who said he didn't destroy them? :) It's just this battle wasn't won by guns at the end. Shepard himself was the key for the change, the end for the cycle, the new variable in the Intelligence's equation, the first organic ever to stand in front of him, the "Avatar of the Cycle". In the end everything boiled down to Shepard's determination and the good choice. BW is a genious, yet most ppl are angry with them :)

" Cerberus is an idea, which is not so easily destroyed" remember?

Has it occurred to you that fictional characters in video games, especially fictional characters written to be fanatical terrorist nutjobs, could be wrong?

What did that have to do with anything?

His methods were wrong, but ultimately he wasn't a terrorist, he didn't do it for the money or a religion. He believed in that everything he does is for humanity. (thats an other thing that Cerberus=Humanity in his eyes) I even consider saying that TIM is almost completely understandable. The only problem with him is that he ONLY could see the bigger picture.

 If you say so. I still prefer my ending where Cerberus is destroyed, TIM is dead and the Reaper bodies are simply integrated in the cityscape because there aren't any tow trucks that are big enough to tow them away :P. (You know, plant some trees around them, paint them colorful and you have a modern art sculpture).

Fully rooting out groups like Cerberus is impossible (Javik even mentions splinter groups similar to Cerberus acting in his cycle), but with the death of the Illusive Man, most of his agents being killed or arrested and no financial backing Cerberus would be in a state of total and utter chaos. We know Cerberus operateed in self contained cells that never knew what the other cells were doing. The only man who could ever see the big picture was...the Illusive Man. Any successor organisation or whatever is left of Cerberus won't become a serious threat in the foreseeable future.

No you can't root out groups like Cerberus because the government will always create and utilize groups like Cerberus, and I find nothing wrong with that.

As Barquiel said Cerberus is as good as gone. Whilst it's true that you can't eradicate groups simply by killing their leader (which is why I'm in the "not keen on boss fights to end a game" group) Cerberus has lost enough assets and is scattered enough that it'll probably fizzle out, with just some of the more lunatic surviving members carrying on for a while causing minor trouble.

What you're seeing are left overs from the "indoctrination plot" that Bioware actually was writing and dropped. The mechanics for the plot on the Citadel did not work so they dropped it. They did not remove the scenes from the game itself, because it was way too late in production to do so. Forget about it. The indoctrination stuff and dream stuff was all put to rest with the EC and killed with Leviathan.

The Illusive Man is dead. You shot him. If you could only see Earth the way he does.... so ... perfect.

But have no fear. Humanity, while grateful for alien help in its liberation from reaper domination, will cease to be as grateful as aliens remain on earth to help with rebuilding. Some Asari and Salarians will probably remain to help rebuild. You know there's always volunteers. And the cry will be "They're taking our jerbs!" Terra Firma will gain seats in a few years. An organization that is pro-Human Advancement will spring up again.

Sorry Julia :) Nothing can convince me otherwise (open for someone who can pull through a reasonable explanation from-the-game itself though) It's just too much evidence in-game for me to deny that the Citadel scene was real. (under real I mean actually happened, and I'm not talking about the IT or a dream. When you die or about to, what you see is real, or we don't have proof otherwise lets put it that way) Also the last footage in game confirms it (for me Leviathan dlc was a huge understanding too, don't understand your point o.O). BW can say whatever they want, I see it as it is, marketing, have nothing to do with the game itself.
Figure we might just have to wait for ME5 to clarify, long way ahead.

I think that there are remnants of Cerberus left behind after you destroy Cronos station. I even referenced it in one of my fanfics.

Cerberus people were husks under Reaper direct control in ME3.

They will probably die or become "vegetables" once the Reapers are destroyed.

If you choose Control ending then Cerberus falls unto your command.

In the case of Synthesis , Cerberus gets liberated and they can live a "normal" life as "new creatures"- they are " born again" to make an analogy.

I think sooner or later Bioware will need to continue the current timeline. Maybe it will be two titles after ME3 but it will happen. And there I doubt that they will continue anything but the destroy ending. I explain;

Control: Reapers alive just went back to darkspace, constant threat. Even with everything that Shep's done.
Synthesis: No one would like to live along the humble Reapres with new DNAs. Noone forgives for what they have done, Especially unborn children. Constant threat again. New war incoming.

So that leaves Destroy, where Shep is alive. Would be interesting.

(and maaaad365 I doubt everyone in Cerberus are half-husks :D only the troopers)

i think the dead reapers and cerberus wouldnt make much difference, since all the mass relays were destroyed. and much of the technology and bases that cerberus use(d) to have were all scattered around the galaxy, making it really dificult or impossible for them at the time where me3 ends, to get any advantage in having a dead reaper or part to study.

not destroyed, "severely damaged" :)
