At some point BioWare will have to bite the bullet and resolve the ending of ME3, because even if ME4 is a prequel, that well is gonna run dry pretty fast. Since the green ending was just dumb and would screw up the entire ME universe for future games, it seems like they'll just pick red or blue, restrict the effects of the space magic to the reapers and Shepard (exempting geth, EDI, etc.), and the rest of the galaxy will go on, rebuild from the war, and try not to talk about it too much.

It's inevitable, right? Hopefully they've already done it, and we can move forward with this game instead of re-hashing the first contact war or something silly like that.

Only 1,000,000?

That is much less than I had expected.

I think that the reapers have come back :)

I do not know, I hope that the next part of the Mass Effect universe will be not long ...

Personally, if the bad guys are connected with the reapers, I'm sure it will be the Leviathan and his friends.

It´s great. A bit head-cannon heavy, but so far I encountered no bugs.

I just hope they won't force main character to commit suicide at the end and that they'll keep all plotholes small-to-medium, no scale-six craters.

Since I have Xbox One. I tell you it's an amazing and innovative console, system. I feel Mass Effect and Dragon Age are going to be huge and better on Next Gen. I hope they be, and beautiful.

I think there's too little information at this point to know what it's going to look like. My personal prophetic hypothesis? On Par with ME1/2, but may not have the same impact of either.

We know about as much as we did from the start outside of a blurry image and a rumor that may or may not be true.

So it will be a visual novel

I'm quite interested in how they'll handle exploration in the next games; with them being developed for next gen consoles I'm hoping we get to wander around on some unexplored worlds that will likely be absolutely stunning on their new engine.
The backgrounds in the artwork they teased us are what I'm basing this hope on.

However, I'm not looking forward to the Imminent return of more Surbuhruss, 'cos yanno, can't get enough of enemies with no actual agenda and easily replicated assets.
(plus Cerberus has been in most of the recent comics =[ ).

Since they are communicating a lot with the DA:I team I hope they go with the "exploration" focused route like the DA team has done this time. I really want a Mass Effect where we get to breathe in that awesome atmosphere of MEU, which felt very lacking from ME3, because everything was a race against time and.... *sigh* "war".

As Shepard won't be returning, I lost interest in the franchise. What I've seen/heard so far from the new game hasn't made me think differently.

What if they reboot the whole series? The possible endings for ME3 seem too hard to overcome.

The only problem I have with a reboot is that to me it seems like a massive admission of failure with ME3's ending. I hope they can somehow subvert it, but of course I'm not expecting it at all

Admission of failure regarding the ME3 endings is honest and necessary. They don't need to come out and say it, but y'cant hide from the obvious.

That said, the ending is easy enough to recover from. Since they defecated all over the story at the end there, they can much more easily get away with setting the world state in stone as of the beginning of ME4 and go forward from there. Shepard is believed to be dead, the Reapers are gone: some say they were all destroyed while other people insist that some survived and remain hidden in the dark corners of the galaxy, the Geth and almost all squadmates survived, the relay network and the Citadel have been repaired, and while you can still see damage from the war most of the galaxy is back to status-quo-ante. Simple.

Assume the "best" outcomes of the sub-plots, with Wrex leading genophage-free Krogan and the Quarians sharing Rannoch with the Geth. A middle-aged Miranda Lawson and her sister can lead a consortium that serves as a mission-giver for the new protagonist.

Ultimately, it is the easiest way to go  forward and try to redeem the franchise.

Nothing, as I haven't seen anything on it besides concept art.
