Is anyone feeling the slightest bit of positivity about ME4?

They're not getting my Day1/Collector's/Preorder at this rate though. Fingers crossed for news into 2014.
I've never been outright bitter about Mass Effect though. I may even be interpreted at a Bioware apologist at this rate, yet I still think the ME3 ending was a serious misstep for them (regardless of intentions) and all I want is for them to make it right. 'ME4' is the latest I'd give them for this, so.... again, fingers crossed

I hope ME4 can recapture the glory I felt for ME1 and 2. I didn't enjoy ME3 all that well as the elements I loved the most like interactive dialogue were lessened, but I can at least hope it gets improved in ME4..

I can't wait. The fact that they are indeed allowing the Shepard Trilogy to stand on it's own as the high level narrative of the MEU, and are now moving onto other completely nonrelated events, is exactly what I was hoping for.
Throw in the fact that new generations in gaming are some of my favorite times, and the fact that Mass Effect is my favorite gaming series......Yeah, I'm totally stoked.

I haven't heard a single detail about ME4 to make me interested, save the really vague "won't involve Shepard" stuff.

Gee, you mean all the people who responded excitedly to the N7 day releases?
I don't really know what N7 Day was. I just saw in the news about the new ME4 pics and felt a bit more happy about Mass Effect.

I'm neutral. Either I'll like ME4 or I won't. I'd prefer to have more games that I like exist, but I'm not gonna sweat it.
This. Plus I don't know anything about it, so how can I really be excited about it.

So you are basing your pre-judgement on whether it's a prequel or not, and you've already concluded that it isn't a prequel and you're cheery about ME4 now?Karlone123 wrote...
For once in a long time, I am starting to feel a little more cheery about ME4 even though I know nothing about it.The pics Bioware released almost a week ago kind of gave me the final push to step out ME3 depression zone. Before that I had no relevant interest in ME4. I was fully convinced that it was to be a prequel that would not really matter considering the pending Reaper invasion, or a spin-off about the cheesy adventures of Garrus or Aria. Even though I still fear the possible announcement of a prequel being announced. I can happily say I no longer feel bitter about ME in general.
Sorry to break it to you, but I still think there's a big chance it's a prequel and that it won't change your view on the destination for MEU.

I'll most likely buy and play ME4. Hoping for a pleasant surprise.

Which also makes me confused. Are all future installments going to be prequels?
