First, let me say I've completed 2 trilogy play-thrus where as many principle and supporting characters survive as possible, one Renegade/F!Shep and one Paragon/M!Shep. Time for something different.

Would it be possible to do a trilogy play-thru where the goal is to kill or let die as many principle and supporting characters  (Shiala, Aresh, etc.) as possible but still complete the game? Killing off Wrex, Ash and Kaidan, the Council, Mordin, Samara, Thane, etc., are relatively easy without jeopardizing completion of the game, but what about Jack, Miranda, or Jacob during the suicide mission in ME2? Also, is there any way to kill off Vega, Cortez, Javik, Joker or Traynor?

Silly, I know, but not much more silly than having a goal of punching every journalist in the known universe.

You can kill Cortez by leaving him alone to his own blubbering. When the shuttle gets shot down over Earth, he will die.

Miranda will die if you romance her in ME2 then break up with her the first time you see her in ME3.  Or if you just don't give her the Kai Leng info when she asks.  No problem.  You could also kill her in ME2 provided you have at least 2 squad members survive the Suicide Mission (otherwise Shepard also dies).

Jack you can let die in the Suicide Mission.

Jacob you can let die in the Suicide Mission.

Here's the basic gist:

• You can kill 2 ME1 squadmates, then a 3rd by shooting them on the Citadel in ME3.
• If you want to kill off the entire ME2 squad, your best bet is to let 2 survive that can be killed in ME3.  This thread can help you figure out how best to handle all deaths in the Suicide Mission, including the Normandy Crew (Kelly, Chakwas, etc).
• Former ME2 squaddies who can be killed in ME3 include Thane, Samara, Mordin, Miranda, Tali, Legion and Grunt...maybe some others I'm forgetting.  Check the Wikia site for each character for more detail.  NOTE: If you instead let Thane die in ME2, you can watch Major Kirrahe die as well.
• Unfortunately, I know of only one reliable way to kill James, Traynor, Javik, Joker and Liara...take the refuse ending.  Shoot the Star Kid in the face and let the whole galaxy get wiped out.  EDI has the additional option of Destroy, as that will kill all synthetics.

I too am planning a Ruthless Piece o' $h!t for my next run, so I've been thinking about this a lot too.  The thing I run into is WHEN do I want to kill each one.  Some of them have more than one good option.  For instance:

• Do I kill Samara in favor of Morinth in ME2, or do I watch her shoot herself in the head before killing her daughter Falere anyway in ME3?  Tough choice.
• Do I sell Legion to the Illusive Man, or do I kill him on Rannoch?  I kind of prefer the latter, but if I do it that way, I can't also have Tali kill herself at the same spot (I don't think...someone correct me if I'm wrong, 'cause that would be EPIC).
• Killing Wrex in ME1 is tempting, as it will allow you to screw over Wreav who will never be the wiser.  Of course, if you let him live and instead sobotage the genophage in ME3, he dies knowing that you betrayed him and his entire race.

So many great ways to kill your squadmates...you just can't fit them all in on one playthrough!

Nice! Thanks for the suicide mission thread, just what I needed. Good point about some of the multiple choice offings. I hadn't thought about there being two options for Samara, I was just going to side with Morinth.

I don't think you can kill Legion on Rannoch and have Tali commit suicide, but you can have Legion sacrifice himself and have Tali commit suicide.

I think one of your ME3 squadmates can die after being hit by Harbinger if you have a very low EMS. Never tried it myself, since I played a lot of multiplayer the "bad" endings were never available to me.

KenLyns, how did you kill dr. Chakwas? I thought she survived no matter what

Technically, I think Dr. Michel is dead if she never joins the Normandy, as I'm pretty sure most of the Citadel got wiped out prior to the battle for Earth.

Do not send an escort to protect the crew during the suicide mission in ME2. All crew will die, including Chakwas.

Also, don't all the harvested ME2 crew get turned into gray Reaper smoothies by doing more than 3 missions after the attack on the Normandy?

I did a playthrough similiar to what you are wanting to do.

ME1
Kaidan is killed on Virmire

ME2
Jacob killed doing vent
Garrus and Kasumi die fighting the human reaper
Grunt dies as 2nd fire team leader
no one is sent back to escort the crew so they all die

After the suicide mission I recruit Zaeed just to have him die at the end(choose to save the workers for this to happen)

The rest are all loyal and going to ME3

ME3
killed Mordin
shot Ashley protecting Udina
Thane gets stabbed
Samara kills herself
I choose the geth over the Quarians causing Tali to commit suicide and Legion is dead for uploading the code
Kill Wrex on the Citadel
Miranda dies since I didn't tell her about Kai Leng
edi gets fried when I choose destroy
Steve died in London because I didn't visit him 3 times on the Citadel
I did not do the from ashes dlc so Javik wasn't part of the squad

I had 49 names on the wall(Anderson in the middle) Zaeed and Kasumi were dead but their names were not on the wall for a total of 51 dead

I did the same playthrough again with low ems
James and Liara were killed by Harbinger and femshep is dead
This gave me 54 dead with 4 names not shown on the wall

With Jack I didn't do Grissom Academy and killed her on Chronos when she is a phantom
