Title says it all :P
I can understand that the writing is meant to link Mass Effect 2 to Mass Effect 3 but it feels really wrong planning to romance Liara in all 3 games and having the message about the DLC just sitting in my computer the whole time. It also makes more sense for you to do (as someone else put it: Shepards own loyalty mission) and have the dinner with Liara before you do a mission that you may never come back from.

(I romanced her in the 1st one, just saying incase i didnt imply that)

Someone said that LoTSB feels like an epilogue and it seems like Arrival would fill that role a bit better.

I think it is somewhat better before. The dialogue just works better.

Yeah thats kinda what i was thinking. Ive never done it after the Suicide Mission but i just cant imagine why you wouldnt do this mission before the SM. It adds a lot more tension in the dialogue because Shepard and Liara both know that this is probably the last time theyll see each other (As far as they know)

Does anyone else have input on this? Preferably from someone who had to decide from these options aswell

I would like some input here as well. I am planning on having Liara being my next female Shepard's love interest. Now that I read this posts in this thread I agree that it makes more sense for Shepard to apend time with her before such a deadly mission.

Not entirely sure what you mean by that.

My genuine Shepard is a dyed in the wool Liara loyalist. I do LotSB shortly after illium becomes available. I'll do her hacking assignments to help her out (I'm usually hard up for credits too), buy all the stat boosting upgrades I can in illium. Then once I've bought all I can and reseached them, I'll offer up the Cerberus' Intel.

Anyways...yea, I do LotSB well before SM. There are some upgrades you get by visiting her periodically between missions through the rest of the game. So what would be the point in getting those after SM?  Getting the odd weapons upgrade from your bondmate just because, is soo much better than a bouquet of flowers, or dinner at olive garden.  She's soo thoughtful, sweet, and totally gets me .  The dialogue, and post LotSB upgrades suggest that it should be done before SM.

Hell I even do arrival before SM to get and use the upgrades found in it, as to actually benefit from them. Besides, I reeeeally dislike harbriger, and his uncanny nack for assuming control over the weakest collector each and every single time he phoenix downs himself. So I've no qualms with having a little extra 'umph' for repeatedly 'tearing him apart'!
Admiral Hackett's end dialogue in arrival, again suggests that it can be done before SM. Though, I will usually save arrival for just before reaperIFF, because it defiantly has that epilogue feeling to it.

:edit:  think I just realised what you ment by 'these options'. Hampster wasn't on the wheel.
So short version:

Do it before.

I always prefer to play LOTSB after the Suicide Mission. Idk, it always had the feeling of Shepard trying to reconnect with Liara after the SM. That is just me though.
