In da2 we saw a qunari mage kill himself because he had been free and may be corrupted,then they try to kill you because there is no way to tell what demons rode his words.
In origins Sten is around several unbound mages for quite a while.
How is it he can just return to his people?
The mages spoke to him according to the qun shouldn't he have to die?

I wonder whether or not the Qunari only send people that don't have horns as envoys to foreign lands. That would explain why none of the Qunari in DA1 have horns, and all of the ones in DA2 do.
