Hmmmm not sure how to interpret your argument correctly. "Speed" is in most cases a relative concept, of course a 20 minute no rocket solo doesn't seem fast if you compare it to Alquinn's 13 minute solo, but if you compare it to other no rocket solos it's quite fast. Even a 40 minute solo can be considered insanely fast if the average completion time for the same solo is 3 hours...the "speed" in speedrun comes from comparing it to runs in the same category, otherwise even Alquinn's solo seems pretty slow if you compare it to the full team speedrun record. If "Soloing" doesn't take the speed element out of speedruns in this game, then surely the same goes for no rocket runs.

@bgsam: Nice runs, HoF updated. I've also added your solos to the character based HoF, since your Saboteur solo is actually a new record (ok, there was only one other entry for him).

Damn it, now I had to remove Knockingbr4in's DA solo from the N7 GIGA Insanity Hipster Solo category (still need to find a better name for this) since he also used the hack glitch. Now there's only d_nought's Cabal solo left...

I'm sure most of the soloers around here have a video somwhere that qualifies for this category, you just need to look through your Youtube channels! Even I found one on my channel, and I rely way too much on the Crutch Scanner.

Update:

-Geth Scanner is now banned for the 10 WS hardcore category. It's really a bigger crutch than Cyclonics.

-There are now two 10 WS speedrun categories, one for Glacier and one for non-Glacier maps.

-Added a new Collectors speedrun category because hardly anybody solos them.

Potential future updates:

-Limiting Glacier solos to one per character for a couple of the categories (e.g. Melee, Collector)

-Only allowing videos for the entire HoF. I can add a little extra screenshot section for some categories for those with outstanding solos who are not able to record (or just make them honorable mentions).

I made these changes (and the whole thread actually) because the character based HoF is packed with Glacier runs and the map based HoF is mainly filled with GI, GT and Kroguard runs, which is of course completely ok but also a little bit boring. I want to see more diversity in soloing.

However, I'm far from done with polishing this thread. I'm still trying to figure out how to limit run-of-the-mill solo setups more efficiently, so suggestions are much appreciated.
