Hi everyone,
Does anybody know why I can't install the high-res texture pack? I have the file downloaded and ready to go but it keeps informing me that I don't have DA2 installed. Well, that's a lie, it's right here in my Origin library. I thought the update (1.7GB) would have the high-res textures installed but no such luck. What do I do?
Sorry if this has already been posted. I've been scouring the internet with a fine tooth comb trying to find a solution but have come up empty handed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated :3

Had the same problem, found a workaround. May be useful for someone, cause I didn't find any information about how to fix this in the Internet.
Use 7-zip (it did the trick for me, probably other archive programms will work too) to open DA2_HiResTexturePack.exe as an archive and browse through it. Extract texture files (highrescharacterartfp.erf and highreslevelartfp.erf) to your Origin Games\\Dragon Age II\\packages\\core\\textures\\high. Then go to \\bin_ship\\, launch DragonAge2Config.exe and enable hi-res textures.
Here you go. Origin won't recognize it, but in-game config menu will. And as far as I can see it works.
