OP, your statement has been "said" countless times on this forum.

You are preaching to the choir at this point.

Would this not be a good time to kick up a fuss, with ME4 on the way?  ;)

Not sure if this point has been raised in this thread. I'm mostly over my disappointment with the ending to the mass effect saga, and I don't particularly care to "open up old wounds" so to speak. The main issue I have with the endings to ME3 was the star brat himself. The Citadel being "a part of" the Catalyst completely negates the entire plot of Mass Effect 1. Why does Sovereign need to attack the Citadel, why does Saren need to infiltrate via the Conduit, why is the keeper alteration (via the prothean scientists from Ilos) a problem for the Reapers, when the Reaper control unit (the Catalyst) is on the Citadel itself?

The plot of Mass Effect 3 had some major issues well before the ending, but those are problems that I could have easily ignored had the ending been satisfying and consistant with previously established lore. A "happy" ending would have been awesome, and I would have loved to have it as an option for a "perfect" playthrough, but I'm even more than fine with a sacrifice ending. I've beaten DA:O a few times now, and probably half of my Wardens died. The endings of ME3 just completely broke the plot and lore, and that to me, was unforgiveable.

Bioware games used to be day one buys with no research needed (except Jade Empire, just not a fan of Asian settings). Now it'll take quite a bit of convincing and positive user reviews for me to not wait until the bargain bin.

Yep. The Catalyst's on the Citadel. So what?

Why would the Catalyst's mere presence on the Citadel allow him to reverse the sabotage of the keepers? Sure, he'd like to repair them, but the keepers themselves are the maintenance system for the Citadel. If they're subverted, what other tools does he have? None that we're aware of besides Reapers, which is where Sovereign comes in.

The keeper's job is to activate the Citadel as the relay to Dark Space, allowing the Reapers to enter and begin the harvest.  The prothean scientists altered the keepers to not respond to the signal telling them to do just that.  That's why Saren had to infiltrate the council chamber, activate the master control unit, et cetera et cetera.

If the Citadel is the Catalyst ("it's a part of me"), they why the unnecessary complexity?  The Catalyst would have been the one to open the relay, him being the guy in charge and all.  This negates the entire reason for Saren being used as a pawn by Sovereign, and thus the entire plot of Mass Effect 1.

The Catalyst negates this line too: "I am Sovereign, and this station is mine."

Unless, of course, the Catalyst actually is Sovereign.. and he uploaded himself in ME1.. and now he's screwing with us in the form of the starkid.

Even if Sovereign had installed himself on the Citadel, he could then have bypassed the prothean sabotage of the keepers, and opened the relay there, and the harvest would have begun.  ME2 wouldn't have happened the way it did, and ME3 would have been completely different (if lore had been maintained.)

No, the way ME1 ended with Sovereign destroyed, and the relay to dark space closed gave the best setup for ME2 and ME3...except the Catalyst negated both.

It was said and discussed countless times. This debate is as old and pointless as it can get.

You're assuming things about the keepers that aren't actually known. There's a bunch of speculation, but that's it. Vigil didn't know jack about what was actually going on aboard the Citadel, since the Conduit was one-way.

that is why I do consider Me3 a bad dream.

It is not old or pointless.  I play the mass effect series at least once every year, and it always ends the same way.  I would like for once, it to end happily.  :)
This year it did end happily, thanks to a very nice mod.

Bring Back Shepard !
The fans have grown attached to the old characters
they have known them for 7 years
you wouldn't kill off master chief so why Shepard ?
Shepard and his squad is Mass Effect without them its just the random adventures of solider 246753 in space
Shepard doesn't only deserve a better ending but another game
LISTEN TO THE FANS !

In your own thread is More Shepard/No more Shepard about fifty/fifty with slight majority for no Shepard, even if I count indifferent people to More Shepard camp.

So this listen to fans is more listen to MEEEE!!!

most of the pro shep fans have left the forums

He doesn't live neither.

For all intents and purposes, Shepard will rot in the rubble of the Citadel until an Alien Force from Andromeda invades.

So if a poll disagrees with you it's inaccurate, huh?

I don't know what "the fans" think. Neither do you.

Ah, looks, another number magician on BSN.

Do you know how many people were on BSN?
And how many of them left?
And how many of them were pro-Shepard and how many of them were against another Shepard game?
And how many of these people are still here?

You just pull percentage from your ass to look more important, standard on BSN.

Only fact I stated here was based on counting of pro and against post in your thread - you can easily check it.

Contrary to you I don't using percentage or terms majority/minority without factual datas.
