I was trying some things today, to make an area to seem like floating, elevated. Like a path.

Is it even possible to make a walkmesh around this thing, or should I find another way?
I tried so far to make the pillars environment object with walkmesh helper on them connected to the bridges.
When it didn't work, I tried coverting everything to enviroment object and connect the helpers only.
Still not. It seemed that the edges of the helpers where as attached to each other as possible but bake still failed.

Any trick that I may not be aware of?

Andy.

Did you try to make only one big walkmesh helper covering the area and cut it with walkmesh cutters ?

This is how you do it, it's straightforward and doesn't involve anything other than stock resources. You can have people walking midair this way. Playing tricks with the terrain files will let you substitute another map's walkmesh entirely if you wanted, allowing you to walk under the map for instance (though still not with 3d movement).

That did it. Nice trick, I'll keep it in mind. I was always struggling to connect the meshes but this way is so much easier and faster. 2 hours work and I go my mesh working. For such areas I would normally work days, were most of the work would be to make the path work. Thanks for the tip!

Wonderful work, andysks. I'm always a fan of mod area designers who think outside the default box that Neverwinter Night 2 is built, and with the bonus of only using the default placeables as well. Best of luck in your present endeavor.

That means something coming from you, since inspiration for such areas is coming by your work :).
