Briefly, but passed on the idea.

If I were to have my voice in a video of the game, I would want it to be the mic chatter of my buddies and I. Since I lack the equipment/knowledge to make that happen...

Otherwise, there is no appeal (to me) to record me just randomly rambling some type of commentary over gameplay videos. There is a reason I am a writer and not an on-air television or radio personality. It's not my strength and I get terribly self-conscious about sounding like an idiot.

If I were to do a 'commentary', it would involve a lot of cursing towards Geth. I have my voice recorded in only a couple of games with friends but I really don't care about it one way or the other.

Commentary certainly can make a video more entertaining, but only if it's good or insightful commentary, if it was simply added for the heck of it, it's usually gonna end up being more bothersome than anything (especially if it's an annoying voice).

Xcal has by far the best commentary imo, makes his videos way more entertaining to watch than anyone else's.
