Took me about 8 tries. I used a kit I wasn't that familiar with and followed a video guide someone posted.

While I should've just used what I was good with, it was good practice to learn a new kit and the basics of soloing with an unorthodox character, which was the Asari Justicar at the time.

Do disconnects count?

If so, then 3, as my first 2 were "you have lost connection to the mass effect servers" on waves 9 and 10 respectively.

3rd attempt was as listed above, felt a little slimy and had to take a shower afterwards

my 4th was all Geth on Geth violence and was far more satisfying (GI ftw)

Just two...both successful. I just wanted to get the challenge done. Beyond that I have no interest in soloing a multiplayer game. It is more fun to play in a group.

Kroguard with disciple / Geth about 8 tries . If you want a little extra fire power use wraith instead . I was messing around soloing gold to do this to finish up the maps that were a few waves short for map mastery . The map I had to finish was Jade but my second solo was dagger and did it in 2 tries . It gets easier but I probably won't do it again .

I was never interested by solo, so i just did one attempt at it, met with success. Giant+Krodept+Wraith, against Reapers. 42% shield regen speed with a big amount of shields can't go wrong.
Quite easy overall with that setup.

About 2 fails and one friend ninja joining mid-match with Kroguard until it snapped in. Took me three fails until I made my Shadow run work. It's not so bad once you already get around in silver solos - just takes more time usually.

It took me three attempts, the third one was successful. I've played on Gold with teammates for quite some time though so I knew what to expect by solo'ing, I knew which character I would be best with, which weapons and bonuses and which map I had to try it in. I ended up doing my first successful Gold solo barely three days ago and it was rather fun. My next step is doing another Gold solo that's going to be more challenging and then, maybe, will start trying Platinum.

First attempt, although it was with a Reegar Kroguard against Geth so......

I've since solo'd gold with every character and it rarely took more than one try per kit though.

It took me something like 10-15 attempts before I got it done with a TGI on Reactor.

Once you get hang of how to abuse soft cover and realize that you simply cannot rambo (unless you're Mr Proguard with Reetard Crutchbine playing against the Geth), it becomes a walk in the park - especially if you kite a lot, which I don't like, because I inevitably try to make a speedrun out of every solo I attempt.

I did it on my third & fourth attempts but they were the first two with that kit (tried and failed twice with Kroguard/lolReegar, tried and succeeded twice with TGI/Claymore)

Have failed many times since then although it was *on purpose* (no, really)...if I'm down to the last couple of waves I need for map or character-based challenges and cba to wait in a lobby or play a full match I'll do a Gold solo then once I've done it I'll let myself bleed out if/when I go down. No point in wasting Medi Gel.

5 or 6. I tried using a Brogan Warlord first but got fried by a gang of Pyros all the time. Then I used Juggernaut and even that took 4 attempts 'cos turrets mowed me down during wave 10 4-point-hack objective.

1st try after a month since I started playing, but it took me 50min.. with Reegar Krobine.. against Geth.. on White.. Did another one right after and could cut 10min, but still..

Now that I've started attempting the solos from the weekly gold solo thread there has been a whole lot of rage quitting and a few failures so far.

In this context, yes. In general, being in soft cover means having a wall or an obstacle between you and the enemy, so that they cannot shoot you, but not being in hard cover (pressed against the obstacle).

If you're also able to shoot them while in this situation, then you're using the RHA, yes.

There is no such thing as a cheesy platinum solo, that is always an accomplishment. Set up is irrelevant

First actual attempt. But I did a few feeler rounds (no equipment, no consumables) to figure out what map/kit I wanted to do it on. Once I committed, I got both done in my first two attempts.

Once Lone Wolf was complete, I was happy to never attempt it again. I found solo to be pretty boring and not nearly as engaging as playing with other people.
