Had some bad objectives and a couple of Banshee grabs before my first solo TGI . Did the Lone wolf on the first day of the challenges but only wore it once or twice.

Second solo was with the Shadow v Cerberus and went smoothly first try..

She is a great kit for objectives with duration evo and with melee and power upgrades she can OHK every Cerberus enemy (except an Atlas ) . Turrets not an issue for her with Geth Scanner equipped and the ability to take them out in 1 SS

It took me a few, I don't recall how many. This was a GI way back when before gear. My second was a Human Engineer and that took more attempts.

If you can solo bronze with no gear, no rockets, you can solo silver with little to no gear.  Go ahead and throw on your gear for gold, and you will be able to solo it in a game or two.  The only issue or hardships is the objective rounds.

That's exactly how I did it.

After soloing silver, it took me about 2-3 tries before I finally got it done. My first gold solo was with the Human Femgineer. I love that chick!

Go with the Juggernaut , use a powerful assault rifle. You can't fail.

Soloing is a game of patience, at least for me. You have to be extra careful and lose the fun factor you normally enjoy with a team ( a normal team ).

Got it on my 2nd try, FBW/Reapers with Raider Krosent, one of my favorite characters. The second one was Kroguard/Reegar vs. Geth on Ghost and that went off very smoothly - highly recommended if you just want to get it done and don´t enjoy soloing. It surely felt good to succeed, but I probably can´t be bothered to do it again. Good Luck !

I'm at seven attempts at the moment. 5 failed before wave ten. With the 2 where i did make it through wave 10, I was so busy just surviving during extraction that the timer ran out.

Mentally, i sometimes manage to convince myself i completed it. Technically, i'm standing at 0/2 gold solo.

2/2, TGI/geth/Vancouver. Took a long time (and I'll never do another, cuz I just don't enjoy soloing), but if you're patient, and smart enough to run away when the situation starts getting bad, then it's not as bad as you'd think.

One bit of advice that I haven't seen mentioned too often is to save the primes for last, and just try to stay on the other side of the map from them (not hard, since they're so slow). If you save 'em 'til the end, you only have to kill 'em once. Kill 'em earlier in the wave, and they'll respawn...

Absolutelly , always kill the bosses last if you can. The main issue of soloing is to keep away from taking damage because you have no backup to revive you or to draw fire away from you.

That's not how I did it   Which is why I'm still working on soloing Gold, I'm sure.

Bronze and Silver were pretty easy.  I just equipped my best gear on a char I had run in MP quite a bit and was comfortable was a good build.  It was kind of a grind, honestly.

I found people's recommended builds never worked for me.  I'd wipe by wave 3 because it was a build I hadn't used before.  Now I'm just soloing Bronze and Silver with no gear on kits I'm familiar with, and some I'm discovering are really capable with some experience.  I reset and try different builds, and in the process am working out a level, route, build, and kit that are effective with no gear.  Far more fun this way.   I hit up Gold solo occasionally just for fun.  I wipe on 7, but hey, it's 7, not 1 or 3 anymore.  I'm not frustrated at being able to easy solo Silver but not Gold anymore.  I see it now as a part of the game I had been aware of but not fully grasped.

1/2 so far. Wiped on wave 8 Glacier the first time. Kited forever on Giant but finally got it done. Waves 9 and 10 were easy compared to 8 (pyros!) even with devices as the final objective. Only need that second one for Lone Wolf though. I know I can do it....I just need to be in the right mind set.

Took me 2 tries. I hated (and still hate) soloing, but I wanted to get it done for the challenge, so I used a typical TGI/Harrier specced for press 2 to not die vs Reapers and got the challenge over with.

I find soloing kind of the same as playing DayZ alone. More stressful than fun.

Can't recall the first time but I do remember first trying with the Asari Adept, Novaguard, and HFI Widow after a lot of non eq silver solos back when I used to worry about equipment.

This was like before any type of dlc for the game.

I wanted to be sure, so I went the noob solo way. Reetard carbine Kroguard vs geth on giant. Success in first and second attempts. Gold solos over!

LOL it depends on you really. Everyone was at a different skill point when they attempted their first solo. Some may take few attempts others may take multiple. It also depends on kit, faction, map as well as skill level

perhaps if you cheese it...you'll do it in one try

2/2 with the reegar kroguard/geth setup. Still had a sense of achievement afterwards.

Then some vs reapers with various kits 1/4 so far. First effort grabbed on wave 10 after completing obhjective, doh! Then two grabs on wave 9 then success (82 mins LOL).

I actually enjoy soloing it just takes too long (for me). I never know if I'm going to have a whole 1hr+ to get it done, so I tend to go for some quick PUG action instead.

Failed the first attempt thanks to a Banshee synch-kill on a drone escort mission on wave 10 Ghost (she jumped through the wall from the room just next to the ramp where I was escorting the drone and insta-grabbed me).

Switched to Geth and cheesed it with a TGI/Harrier and succeeded - unsurprisingly. The only solos I've really done since completing BotB have been when I've started a U/U/G lobby and nobody has joined :\\

The first time? I guess it was a few. It seemed impossible back before Platinum even existed to me then I got the first one done. I'm pretty sure I have a Gold solo now with most of the characters in the game. Saboteur is the only one I know I haven't done one with.
