I like how this is apparently the logical conclusion of the previous changes made.

BioWare - "We are going to remove the ability to PM each other without a friend request so that it lightens the work loads on moderators responding to people"

BSN - "LAME"

Merizan - "Then tell us, what do you want?"

BSN - "LET US POST VIDEOS AND UPLOAD CUSTOM AVATARS AND STUFFIES"

*5 months later*

Merizan - "Okay! We've taken a look at all your feedback and decided to remove Polls, Blogs and Picture Albums! We promise there will be something to replace all that one day! Have a nice day!"

Priestly - "Btw, this is all because of the Off-Topic section. If it weren't for Ponies or Korra, the BioWare Social Network would be a much nicer place to talk about BioWare games and nothing else."

I freaking love it.

I'm still trying to understand why an off-topic section was created in the first place if all they wanted us to do was drone on about regurgitated Dragon Age and Mass Effect topics. It would've saved me the time of even signing up here if that's the case.

Are you telling me you didn't sign up for Mage/Templar debates, 70 page playersexuality threads, and discussing heroism with genitalia in hand?

Hey Bioware, psst, have some advice for you:

This is a SOCIAL NETWORK and I'm not sure if you realise what that means, but I'm fairly sure, no, definite, that it means that we should be able to SOCIALISE about common interests, not just purely one franchise's games.

The way he said it came off like a bad break-up. Like he was just heartbroken that the site wasn't the way he wanted it.

So much yes. I guess he expected for there too be never ending talk about Mass Effect and Dragon Age like were some type of zombies who only think of that.

Aw, people hate me because I have appearently ruined BSN by being a Off-Topic runner?

Eh, let em, I like having lists, and I could make one of all the enemies I've made.




But seriously, if they remove these features, and then integrate other sites functionality

Like if Photobucket images can be selected to show up in albums on here, and you're still able to tag people? Easier.

If a site that runs polls(forgive me, any sites that do that are eluding me right now) could have integration into forums? Easier.

Simple thing is, if things like this happen, sure, we might have a period of time without Albums(I had art that I didn't have anywhere else here) or Polls, or Projects (though I personally could not come up with an idea to work with that), the site will be easier to manage and easier to use for the users.

Or it will be a clusterf***, hard to say until it happens.

I used to defend you guys when people said you don't care about your fanbase, but now I'm starting to agree. You seem to take no consideration to the fact that not ALL people on your site want to sit on the forums discussing game content. Zzzzz. What's to discuss? You haven't released a game in forever. Once that subject is worn out, I - like many other users who have lives - stop discussing the same thing over and over and over and over again. We turn to the other features of the site to keep us entertained.

I'm sick of the constant false reasoning from you guys that it's "what the people want" or that it will "improve the site" because neither is true. You can see it for yourself here.

I'm pretty sure those numbers and whatn not are simply false, because no one asked for this. If Bioware came out clean why they where doing this then peopel might you know, not be so pissed off. The fact is as always Bioware is lying and covering their ass and then treating their customers like crap. Might as well close the site down if you want to turn it into a snooze fest.

I know for sure if groups are gone, I'm done.

How long is it expected to be read-only? Many people use these features and don't discuss on the boards, removing them might scare away friends we've met on the BSN.

That seems to be the point. Why else would they remove these features. I'm thinking that groups will be the next thing to be phased out. I'm betting that the Off-topic subforum will get nuked.
