A bug-out plan is more of a Apocalypse Prepper, I'm only gone if things actually terrible happen.

Really people, can't you tone down the b*tching? I see little reason for it. There is no mention at all of groups being phased out or the OT section to be closed. I dislike that the blogs will vanish, since they were the only place to put non-transient content, but let's face it: few people used it regularly. About the other phased out stuff: *shrug*. Jessica's right. Other places do that better if you really want it.

what makes the BSN amazing at its core: intelligent, curious and passionate game content discussion.

Guys all this disbelief is kinda misplaced. This isn't Bioware any more. It hasn't been in a LONG time. This is EA games now, and this is just the kind of stuff they do. It's probably in a procedural manual someplace.

1. Acquire great company with a dedicated fan base in a niche market.
2. Turn it into a schlock mill.
3. Alienate existing fan base.
4. Exploit label until low quality product releases have irredeemably damaged the brand.
5. Fire 90% of the staff, chain the other 10% to their desks and put them to work at half-wage re-skinning first person shooters and racers that can be sold as "new games".
6. Close down the company and padlock the doors.
