 This came to me when reading "I support the Circle" posts.
Bardox9;
"...The Circle of Magi is as much as prison as it is a sanctuary. Mages can live and study their art in peace, but at the expense of constantly being watched by the ever vigilant Templars who watch for signs of corruption. The Templars serve as both prison guard and body guard for the mages within the circle. They protect the mages as much as they protect others from the mages..."

I would love to see an example of the Templars protecting the mages.

A circle is onset by a group that want to destroy all mages in revenge for the rip in the veil. They have no evidence saying that mages were the cause, they just made an assumption and it fitted.

The templars or now defending the mages and even working with the mages in order to hold back the makeshift army which has them besieged however it doesn't look like they will be able to survive a long drawed out fight.

The Inquisition arrives and is told a convincing story about how the Mages inside the circle have used blood magic to inthrall the templars gaurding them. The people besieging them believe this and should seem reasonable and normal folk. I.e Please don't go rusing in and making the leader sound like a maniac so the player insticively knows that this is not the case, it should be believeable.

The group request your help, while they have the mages pinned down they are not confident they can win if a fight were to break out. You agree to help.

Charging in you face off against hardend templars doing their job. - later you come across templar sacraficing themselfs in order to save the mages they are charged with protecting. - You now come to a room heavely barricaded where a man stands on a wooded bridge above you. He adresses you, explains that he is the first enchanter and requests that you stop your murderous spree against the templars and mages. The player has a decision here but everything so far has told him that the Templars are inthralled with blood magic so you may continue your onslaught.

If you choose to continue your onslaught you will fight on untill you come to the Knight Commander and First Enchanter side-by-side at which point they try to convince you that what you have been told is a lie and the templars are acting in the defence of the mages through their own free will - again you have the option to completely ignore this and make a terrible mistake.

If the player decided to heed the first enchanter you have the oppertunity to investigate the mages and templars who are with him in order to make your mind up about them however they are rather pissed off with you. You did just kill Johny and Jessica. So understandably they will be rather hostile when talking to you which may just make you want to kill them all outright or may even fail to convice you that the templars are indeed free willed. Again an opertunity to make a horrible mistake.

I feel this would make a good roll reversal. It even fits the role of the Inquisitor. you will end up feeling like Judge and Jury - And Imagine the feeling the first time when you make the mistake of slautering hundreds of innocent templars and mages...

Think the time for making requests is over, or so I've heard.
