What Previous Game Decisions Do You Want To See Have An Effect In DA:I?

Avernus' research, and how it was obtained, should have ramifications for the Wardens.
The major decisions of DA2.
Loghain's survival.

And it sort of didn't.In my main playthrough , she broke it .I'd like to see Merrill again and maybe seeing her suceed .
Of course the whole Dark ritual stuff.
Anders.Still alive , I'm ready for some sweet backlash.
The final choice in DA2 , siding with the mages or templars.I'm not expecting something too big, but I'd like to feel Hawke wasn't 100% a walking failure.Seeing a group of mages not giving in to the dark side because they feel supported could be nice.
Not killing Brother Genitivi (I want to recruit the dude in the Inquisition!)

-- Ferelden king/queen/both.
-- Dark Ritual.
-- Witch Hunt ending (namely, traveling through Eluvian)
-- The following companions: Morrigan, Lelianna, Alistair/Loghain, Sten.
-- Fate of Feynriel.
-- The Architect (does not need to re-appear, but his work/lack thereof should have some impact).
-- Orzammar's king and AotV.
Relatively minor stuff I'd nonetheless like to see some outcome for:
-- Charade Amell.
-- Fates of Amaranthine, Vigil's Keep.
-- All other companions, alive and side-quests completed.

If it's a relevant decision, sure. But if it just means some guy from ferelden bumping in to us and saying "hey, remember when the warden became queen?" And then walking off ... No. It needs to make sense, and if integrating our decisions in the past two games won't make sense in the context of the game, then I'd rather bioware not try to shoehorn things in since it will just be a throwaway line.
I agree with this. What decisions I want to see acknowledged will depend on whether they're relevant to the new plot. If they aren't, I don't need to see them reference-dropped. I remember what happened; I was there.
Assuming it does have relevance to the plot, though, what I mostly want to have acknowledged are end-game choices and character defining choices. I don't expect every aberrant thing I did to affect future games because that would be impossible to manage, but if it was something I had to choose at a major plot bottleneck or if it significantly affected my character's future, I'd like it to make a difference.
The specific things I'd like to see have an effect if they're relevant:
My characters' LIs. They don't have to be present - couples don't have to be joined at the hip - but I would be sad if they conversed like it never happened. Just some subtle acknowledgement that my Hawke is with Fenris and Lady Cousland married Alistair would be sufficient.
Whether Hawke sided with mages or templars - but without assuming Hawke was an extremist for his or her respective side. For example, my Hawke sided with mages because she thought annulling the whole Circle was going way too far, but even so she acknowledged that mages could be dangerous to themselves and others and not every mage should be unleashed on the populace, so if the writers turned her into the next Anders I would feel like my character had totally been changed on me. Likewise, I imagine a player whose Hawke reluctantly sided with the templars only because they thought the Kirkwall situation had gotten so out of control there was no other option wouldn't be too happy to have their Hawke turn into a "Rawr kill all mages!" type. Basically, take the decision into account but also take into account that it was a messy one and not all Hawkes felt great about what they did... so use the facts but leave the feelings up to the player's imagination.
Who took the throne in Ferelden and whether anyone sacrificed themselves to kill the archdemon.
Whether the dark ritual was accepted or not.
If the Warden and Hawke are met as NPCs, I'd like their basic personalities kept intact (diplomatic/snarky/blunt/etc.)
Whether Anders is alive or dead.

Avernus Research
Siding with the Cult
How well you funded the army when you take on the ArchDemon; I mean if the guys are all using like silverite armor instead of the basic armor of the game and glowy enchanted death weapons...than I can't imagine that "not" having an effect of how they would interact with other nations and even their own civilians in the future. I mean that would be arguably the single most well equipped military group in all of Thedas.

True enough. Still, I suppose they're extremely rare and therefore precious.eluvianix wrote...
Actually, he is just the only known dreamer in Andrastian Thedas. The comics prove that Dreamers still seem to occur in Tevinter every now and then. Magister Titus in the comics was a Dreamer.

Who hold the throne of Orzammar
The Fate of Conner.
The fate of Dagna.
The Avial of the void.
Amaranthine or Vigal’s Keep.
The Fate of The Architect.
Who Hawke sided with in act 3
Anders [ Alive or Dead, there should be a refance to his actions and if he ran off with Hawke or Both Hawke and Isabela.}
Isabela [ if she is ever found, or if the Qunari found her. or if on her boat.}
Choosing Lynius or Janeka
Weather or not Hawke gained the respect of the Qunari
Fenris { if you gave him back to Denaris or not.}
And that is all I can think of.

Well, only if Harromont heir agreed not to overwrite all of Bhelen's policies and he agreed to take care of Rica and her son.

- Architect. I want to know what happens if I release him.
As you can see, I mostly care about the pre-endgame decisions that weighed heavily on me.
Everything else is just icing on the cake.

I at least want darkspawn agents. Intelligent, talking darkspawn is just a bizzarre plot thread to put a whole game around (a short game, but Awakening could have almost qualified as its own) and then never bring up again.

2. Fate of Old God child
3. Fate of Hawke and his/her LI
4. King of Ferelden (Alistair in mine)
5. Corypheus - what happened to him?
6. Avernus and his research - do we ever get answers regarding the taint?
7. Feynriel - does he become a powerful dreamer?
8. Fiona's son with Maric - who and where is he? (technically not a decision, but I want to know)
9. Fate of all my previous companions - Everyone from Origins, Awakening, and DA2
10. I gave land to the Dalish elves in Origins as a Dalish Warden - need updates on that.

Anything that ties into Awakening/Legacy
Avernus' research
Feynriel
The fate of the Hawkes (your hawk, your sibling, even Gamlen.)
The fate of the companions
And of course...something about the huge role Wynne played in the mage/templar war. Cuz...Wynne is my favourite.

I imagine the Mage Templar conflict has nixed any real possibility of this thread being followed up on in Inquisition, but it would still be interesting to see in a future game.

If you sided with the werewolvers and wiped out the dalish tribe, it will probably have adverse consequences for Ferelden and for the dalish of course,
Hard to say whether Bhelen as dictator or a weak Harromont as king, perhaps supported by Branka will make any difference in DAI. I expect we're going to Kal Sharok and a dwarven inquisitor might have problems if he's from Orzammar, as it seems the Kal Sharok dwarves resent Orzammar.
Who's the king or queen of ferelden if the warden and allistair have disappeared.
Chantry's too busy elsewhere to call any Exalted Marches. shrugs.
That's about it.
