Most OP on BSN with a few retired players:
DanDCD, HeroicMass, AshenEarth/VoidNexus, UhCold, Disciple888.
Only played a few with Heroic and Ashen but they are thought highly of among great players, and Ashen has taken Disciple to the woodshed by about 100K. Dan is one of the few people that I think could actually beat most great people at this game using a stick for a weapon as well.
Most fun to play with:
BlackProject, Slojack, TheLostSkeleton, Beau, HoochieHamiltoe
And I'm sure I'm forgetting others.
Screw you too pal!!!
This hurts me...
Who are the best players in BSN?

I was terrible at PvP shooters in the past. I dabbled in CSS for about 200 hours where I probably had a .5 k/d in pub matches. The thing about ME3 MP is no other game will throw as many enemies at you in as little time so it makes really good target practice - it's a constant turkey shoot. As a result my aim improved noticeably. I'm still not great at PvP shooters, but I can generally trend above a 1.0 k/d and mostly what's keeping me from being much better than that is I'm still trying to get a hang of things like strafing and all the other little tricks that'll give you the edge in PvP.
edit: also Crimson Vanguard is clearly the best player on BSN as of right now

I wholeheartedly disagree. The difference in being garbage and above average in this game is directly related to your ability to shoot a gun and not miss. Any idiot can power spam... it's those who can power spam AND shoot well who are 'good'. Therefore... An average PvPer will almost always perform better than someone who came here from solely playing RPGs... Even moreso once the PvPer learns right hand advantage.
Interesting point, although I don't agree with it. I could also twist your argument and say that in order to be good at this game, you need to do two things (shooting and power spamming), whereas in a simple PVP game like CoD you only need to do one thing (shooting). No matter how easy it is to power spam, doing both at the same time is still harder than doing one thing. Let's not forget that there are also a couple of more demanding power classes like the Smashdept. So, the average ME3 playerbase has learned to do two things at the same time and will therefore perform better than the average CoD player. I even had a friend who has been playing CS for many years and didn't get along with the power system when I showed him ME (he just kept on shooting stuff, even with power classes).
Of course, the above argument is garbage, my point is that I don't think that "power spam" is enough to degrade the average skill of a whole playerbase.
I still think that average is just average, whether you play ME or any other game. What many people on BSN suggest is that the average ME player would automatically be below average if he picks up a PVP game (of course factoring in playtime, you can't be a pro right off the start). Nah, I don't believe that. In fact, the majority of people I know in this game are also playing PVP games, and I have no reason to believe that they suck (or not) based on how good they are in ME.

A lot of garbage knowledge also goes into ME3 though like knowing Armor mitigation what powers don't work right, etc.

I think there's also something to be said for situational awareness. Knowing how to shoot doesn't do you any good if you're not watching your flank for Hunters or teleporting Banshees.

There is a major element of PvP you aren't accounting for... Making the enemy miss. Halo jumping, drop shotting, circle strafing and of course, taking cover (hard cover/right hand advantage in ME, head glitching in PvP). Sure we have dodge rolls in ME, but it's one dimensional compared to PvP.
I'm not saying the average ME3MP gamer would suck at PvP... I'm saying a gamer who was an exclusive RPG/action adventure player would suck at PvP. Whether or not you want to admit it, that's what makes up a significant portion of the ME3MP player base. How many times have we heard on BSN someone say, "This is my first ever multiplayer game." Quite a bit. Dat galactic readiness lol.

1) A degree of situational awareness
2) Learning game mechanics
3) Learning spawn control
4) Weapons and gear.
This was my progression in this game. The number one thing is to learn enough about not getting shot while shooting the enemy. My start and the start of a lot of new players I see is the amount of ground on face time. If you are down you are not killing things.
The second thing was game mechanics. I had no clue about biotic explosions tech explosions, etc etc. My 1st Drell probably tossed nades 1st and reaved second.
Spawn control, this one really elevates a player, especially if you are playing with other experienced players. I'm still suspect in this regard on some maps and when my fav spawn points are disabled by the actions of other players.
Manifest is a big deal for some weapons and gear but I put it below the other things listed above.
The only MP I ever played before was some NWN which was fun but so different than this I was starting from ground zero. I do think that the next MP game I start playing I'll be way better off as I'll at least have a much better idea of what I should be looking to do and what questions I should be asking rather than being a total neophyte.
