One of the best players I've played with didn't play much else other than RPGs before ME3... if he ever picked up an FPS it might take him a day of playing before he was "good" at that game. The best players at this game are the ones who learn the fastest and learn the most playstyles.. you don't think that would transfer into an FPS?

Yes, of course I was oversimplifying since I was trying to make an argument based on what you wrote (and you only mentioned power spam and shooting). There are many more game specific elements for PVP games, but they also exist for ME3. For example, there is no real target prioritization in many PVP shooters, you just shoot at whatever is in your LoS. If you play Platinum with a Drellguard, you should carefully choose when and what to charge, and when you're speedrunning, you should focus on high budget enemies etc.

And what the hell is head glitching? CS:GO is the only PVP game I play at the moment and I've never heard of head glitching before, and most of the other stuff you've mentioned isn't really prominent in this game either (nobody "halo jumps" or "drop shots" in CS). This is all just stuff specific to certain games, not generally to PVP.

Anyway I think we're talking past each other, I started posting in this thread because someone made the statement (again, I've seen this over and over on BSN) that good ME3 players are probably going to suck at PVP. That would somehow imply that we all are just inherently inferior to other gamers, which I don't believe. If you're just saying that someone who has an RPG exclusive gaming history and never played PVP before is going to suck at PVP, then you're right.

About the amount of ME3MP players that also play PVP: Maybe you're right, maybe not, we'll never get hard data on that. I play on PC, and since both ME and BF are very closely related to Origin, many people in my FL also play BF4 (and they're all friends from ME). Many of the prominent players of this game also play PVP (and even made videos about it, e.g. Stentron, Sirian, d_nought, Xcal).
