So, my feedback on the 30 minute demo, and wishlist for Inquisition so far:
- Large environments look fantastic! I love exploration (like in TES games) but adore story-driven gameplay too. You guys seem to be nailing that balance so far.
- The Keep system looked really interesting. Being able to assault them in various ways, and customize them afterwards, is already making me excited about the thought of multiple playthroughs (Cassandra shield-bashing down the door looked a little odd though - suggest a battering ram or huge fire ball instead?)
- A guard approached the player, and he had the option of walking away or engaging in dialogue dynamically, presumably without affecting the camera and player movement. Could party members have a similar system? That could really benefit the idle party banter system.
- Regarding party dialogue, it always seemed odd to hear party members say "I have something urgent to discuss, please come talk to me at my designated 'stand around doing nothing' spot." I'd love some improvements here!
- Class customization - Origins had much more of it than DA2. I'd love to see the return of (viable!) shapeshifters and arcane warriors!
- Finally, that dragon from the demo. Andraste's ***s. If that was all 100% dynamic (such as the dragon smashing a stone pillar at the end) you guys are going above and beyond. Definitely excited for this kind of optional boss encounter!
