I wasn't afraid to post a photo of myself on this forum. However, the vast majority of 'female' gamers on here have completely avoided doing that, which has made me highly suspicious. So far, only two females have come forward. Then someone directed my attention to the fact that girl = guy in real life. All this has opened my eyes to dark side of Mass Effect.

I've posted photos of myself. In a private group that most of my friends are in. I don't care to post them for others because you can continue to think that I am a guy and that is fine, there's nothing offensive about being confused for either gender.

Nope, it isn't hard to find out for those who really want to know.

On another note....seeking the gender of the person behind the controller probably says more about the person who can't get over trying to find out....

The short answer is yes. But you're coming at it the wrong way. I was only trying to highlight a point. And that point is: don't bring gender into a video game. You go out of your way to appear feminine and to act feminine, yet there's no proof that you're really a woman. You're a man until proven otherwise. And please don't be offended, I'm just thinking out loud here.

Also, no I will not bite you, for all I know you could be a 400 pound man sitting behind the monitor. And I ain't in the business of taking chunks out of men.

I often think that when players play the human vanilla kits as a male or female, this lets you know their gender, though lots of guys play as grillz so they can stare at asses in armor it seems, still is a decent heads up to gender. My GT gives away gender and I've only been mistaken for a guy once, when someone read my motto ["Roger!"], thinking it was my name and proceeded to call me Roger through the match.

I've not really been hit on or anything, or received too much attention, save from one boring player I met on L4D2 that thought I was a good player for a girl and after that would often bother me when online about how I was doing or what I was doing, crash parties and bother me with more than one invite to a game I was not playing. Eventually I blocked him, but I haven't been harassed by horny men, save the funny drunk chaps from time to time.

I'm not accusing any 'females' of being guys by the way. I feel like my words are being misinterpreted, and that's just wrong. I'm just highlighting a point.

I would say that XFG is a very annoying, stupid and childish individual who often contradicts himself and makes absolutely ridiculous and wild remarks. He's very unstable and very odd. However, I am not XFG. I don't mean to toot my own horn here, but I'd like to think I'm a reasonable guy who can engage in reasonable conversations.  I let boredom get the better of me and started to troll BSN, because BSN only responds to negativty. I quickly figured out your weak points and where to hit you, and I hit you pretty hard. I think a hated troll is a successful troll.

Also, @Dragonracer: I have seen your pic on that thread, I recognise all the pictures on there, I was actually just calling out all the other 'females' on here. I only saw 2 or 3 pictures of girls on there. I'm not asking you all to submit your pictures. I'm just curious to know why you didn't post them. I really like that thread quite a lot, even posted my pic on there, I'm definitely a big fan of the idea. No one really cares what you look like or how old you are or whatever, it's just nice to be able to associate a face with a name, that's all. It's a shame that so many people refused to participate. For me, it was nice to see pictures of some of the people I play with or talk to on here.

It's a fucking game. You are going around this community harassing people because you need to feel good about yourself, but at the end of the day you just make yourself look like a sad human being in front of everyone.

You should try to have more fun and stop the bragging and insulting. It's not going to make your life better, and you are not helping anyone in the process.

I actually give my Human vanilla kits different specs rather than playing the gender of my choosing.

My Human Female Soldier is Adrenaline Rush spec while the Male is Concussive Shot, Vanguards are full-blast vs half-blast, etc.

Same here, I use the vanilla male for one build, the vanilla female for another, so maybe this is not as great an indicator as you might think.
