You should see some of the love notes hate mail that he sends to the people he plays with. They would make Sam Kinison blush. There are about 2 dozen different examples floating around the forum - and those are just the ones people posted.

My male humans are somewhat conventional, the females more oddball.

You give me two versions of the same kit, you can bet your *** I'll use them both, it's an open invitation to mess around with different builds.

-Adept: male is 66606, female is a warp ammo soldier(still at experimental stage, not yet happy with her).
-Soldier: male is a normal 60666, female is a 06666 cryo build.
-Engineer: male is droneless, female is 66653.
-Sentinel:  male is 66606, female is a 06666 lancer platform(might respec 46664 when my lancer is at a higher level),
-Infiltrator: male is damage, female is duration.
-Vanguard: male is a novaguard, female is an chargeless falcon toting ammo detonator with half blast nov for more detonations, stagger and I-frames(she's not yet played on gold, unsurprisingly).

Anyone who makes assumptions about a players gender based on their kit choices is a fool, I ain't gonna ignore a kit just because it's got a cute butt.

Oh! That makes a lot of sense, I spec my females the dominant way I've figured out how to use the kit, then I try new builds on the males, if I like it, I leave it on there or replace the current build on my ladies. 
All that and I play my ladies more because I feel like the women move faster than male characters, which might be false, but it feels so true. 

I think it has to do with women having smaller models than the men do.

While they don't actually move faster and isn't harder to be hit, it gives the impression of both.

Additionally for me, I sometimes have a sort of whole character with backstory/personality in mind when I'm making a character which can vary on gender. A lot of my thief type characters are quite a bit like Kasumi actually(and I actually started doing that before ME2 =P).

That's more relevant in a game like World of Warcraft for me than it is Mass Effect, though, since I can't choose gender in ME3.

So no one wants to play with him? Actually I have invited him many times and there's also many players who like to play with him. Not sure if my own behaviour matters also.
