Don't believe the hype GK.

Tell her you're from Jersey like me and watch it switch up.

We both know she can't handle Jerzey. Few ladies can.

I've acted like I was a girl while playing before. No one ever bought it though.

This made me chuckle.

All the time! It must be my feminine-voice and overly-polite mannerisms.

Would you rather this thread be filled with posts like ZAE's?

I find that more entertaining, so yes.

I've occasionally been asked "are you a girl or just really young?" To which I've decided to answer "yes."

I recently had a non-native-English speaker spend a 20 minute match yelling "Lady, hello! Halp me! Why you no halp me? Mister! Lady! Why you no talking? Helllooooo!" despite the other players repeatedly telling him to shut up. It reminded me why I don't usually use a mic with PUGs.

So from my perspective there’s a reason to actually play a different sex character from myself such as the asari. A quirk of this is that other “noob” gamers don’t get this and mistake me for a female gamer.

That's nothing - when I play GI, they keep asking me if I'm a robot.

Just for the record, I am at least one woman who does not care if you call me "dude", "guy", "bro" or any other patriarchal reference. Since that's what I basically call everyone else anyway.

So, yeah. I'm not really caught up on the whole gender identifier words. I'm just here to kill the enemy, revive your butt, and carry the lobby if and when needed.

I also don't mind being the first one to drop the b-word or c-word at a banshee or phantom to help break the ice. Image IPB

With my voice as deep as Barry White and smooth as Ricardo Montalban... just kidding, but I've never had that problem.

I sometimes use the term "non-gender-specific guy".

You must be playing very badly then.

I never had that happen to me and Human Female Engineer is one of my signature kits.

You misunderstand.  When someone calls you a mother-******, they don't actually think you're someone's mother.

I'd heard that Brenda Vaccaro played Mass Effect, but I'd never dared to dream...
