That's nothing - when I play GI, they keep asking me if I'm a robot.So from my perspective there’s a reason to actually play a different sex character from myself such as the asari. A quirk of this is that other “noob” gamers don’t get this and mistake me for a female gamer.

I sometimes use the term "non-gender-specific guy".
