I just finished Mass Effect 3 for the first time and I have now completed the trilogy
I already knew what happening in the ending but still some parts of it are still unexplained and left to speculation
for example
The Stargazer
The Fate of The Crew
Was it all in Shepard's head (Indoctrination Theory)
The fate of Shepard  (varies on the ending)

What are you thoughts on these unexplained things ?
And of course the many other things that didn't make sense in the ending

I'm not sure. I'll have to speculate and come back to you on that.

The indoctrination is just pure headcanon and if it was true it wouldn't resolve the plot. The fact that it's clearly not intended by Bioware inalidates it for me.

I don't care about the speculations. What sucks is the theme and non-existing issue presented to you at the end. If the Catalyst would show evidence to support his blanket statements I could cope with it, but you have so much **** you can show him. I saved both the geth and quarians in most of my playthroughs, but nope. Synthetics and Organics will "ALWAYS" be in conflict. Oh and EDI is in love with joke BTW.

Yeah, Bioware, great internal consistency there. I'm surprised this didn't fly by you when you took feedback in for consideration when you made the Extended Cut. At least the endings FEEL better with the EC and all that, but it's still this fundamental narrative flaw that just ruined it for me, and it effectively ruined the Reapers' image.

What are you thoughts on these unexplained things ?

They have been discusses to death and no consensus is forthcoming - IT believers continue to maintain that Bioware will very soon announce DLC revealing IT to have been true all along, etc

Gotta say, I still want my Rio DLC instead of a repurposed ME2 Citadel DLC.

well,...I'm sorry to say it has already been done in this forum, multiple times in-fact. Some are more vehement about it than others.

Slotts, if you're going to post that stuff it'd be nice to link to the source too. Image search is annoying on a mobile device.

As for the topic:

Stargazer 1: exactly what he seems to be. A human from the far future. Stargazer 2 is from an unknown species of the next cycle.

Fate of the crew: They take off and return to an Alliance space if they aren't already on one. After that, what happens is just the rest of their lives.

Was it all in Shepard's head? Nope.

The fate of Shepard: Dead in most endings, alive in high-EMS Destroy.

Everything is exactly what it appears to be.

I was under the impression that the human stargazer was Shepard's distant relative or possibly the small child, and the indoctrination theory might still be true

Nothing is as it appears to be
