What's the problem with connecting consoles? I've never owned one.

I think you need to pay a monthly subscription for that or similar console bovine excrement (I stopped looking at consoles when I found out that they have 256MB soldered-on memory, which was lucky since Sony turned off the heavily promoted alternateOS feature shortly afterwards)

I love shepard but it is time for a new protaginist. A new protaginist opens up the door for more new possibilities.

Becuase a more outlandish protagonist is more likely to rub more players the wrong way. The personality and voice acting has to appeal to as wide a range of people as possible. If you were able to pick from several protagonists they could afford to be a bit more creative.

Thank you for saying what I said in only more words

Knowing when to end an story is good. As far as I'm concerned Shepard's story is done. I'd like to explore more of the MEU, thus me being glad that there's a new game in the works, but I'd like to do from other perspective than Shepard's.

So no, I don't want Shepard back.

That is exactly how I see it.   I don't need to be Shepard to experience more of the universe of mass effect.

why the hell would you want more bland protagonist.

i can assure you that any protaganists in any future bioware games will have the same bland, boring personality as Shepard.

You might have been thinking that. But it wasn't even close to what you said.

Oh, right. I keep forgetting that some folks can't patch.

I've just never trusted it, personally. I had several problems in the past with my computers being messed up from internet connections, and I don't want that to happen with my game consoles. I know there have been issues with accounts being hacked, at least. It's better for me to avoid it. And I was playing games for years before I ever used the internet, so in my mind, there's no reason that the two should need to be connected.

Many games eventually release their DLC on discs in later editions, and quite a few games that were previously download-only have disc versions now, so most of the time I'm not even missing out on much. Mass Effect is the only series where I really feel like I'm missing important parts of the game - not just in the ending, but that's the most frustrating because they claimed that it would be available without multiplayer, which was either dishonest or someone along the way made a big mistake when they added up the war assets.
