Should Carnage do more damage?

Prime target with Carnage and detonate with Frag Nades is pretty powerfull, but most players do not spec into Carnage.

People that spec out of Carnage on the BF3 are vermin.

I do it. And I use it as a regular human soldier with Javelin instead of claymore, since I am too lazy to switch guns on my female human soldier.

It was awesome in ME1, not sure what happened. I only really use it to detonate fire explosions.

I very rarely use it. Cooldown is way too long for what it does. I'd rather take CS if I were to choose.

Unless, as has been mentioned, playing as the BF3 Soldier - it's primarily a Detonator but it does do a reasonable amount of damage if you spec the Kroldier with power damage on the passives and fortification (which I do for lolferno grenades).

If it had moderate AoE as standard, with the option to increase it, carnage would be worth having double the cooldown time of concussive shot, it's nearest competitor.

As is, it's meh, unless specced specifically as a armour breaker and FE detonator/primer, which is how I use it on my KroSol and BF3Sol.

Yes but incinerate does more DOT.

If only because it's kinda redundant due to Incinerate. If it is to return as a power, make it like its ME1 version. A huge, powerful explosive blast. Like an on demand Fire Explosion with a 5 meter radius.

Off topic, but is it really worth making a thread, if your whole point can be confined to the title?

On topic, no, I don't think so. Carnage is no flamer, but then again, people complain about flamer being OP. Carnage is just a supplement to firing your weapon, which is why soldiers have it.

I do believe that the incapacitate evolution should be replaced with an armor debuff lasting for the base recharge speed of carnage. Weapon focused players could use a debuff more than the recharge speed, but power focused players would still want the recharge speed.

I can live with it's damage output but, like many it seems, I'd give it more radius. Maybe a slight fire DOT like the Atlas missile.
