Do any Mass Effect 2 N7 side quests carry over to Mass Effect 3?

I'm about to start another playthrough of ME2 but I just want to focus on the main story, recruitment, LM and DLC and avoid the godawful N7 sidequests. I'll still do the three N7 sidequests which give you upgrades, but I want to skip the rest and never do them again.

In 10 playthroughs of ME3 I haven't noticed anything that may have carried over, not even the Javelin missiles one, since you still get the Javelin missiles war asset in ME3 when you scan the planet even if you didn't do the mission in ME2, so I'm guessing it's the same with the rest of them.

Cheers.

Not really, no, as far as I know.

They seem to be purely filler + side information.

I did notice the Javelin missile launchers you pick up on the planet Watson is the same place where Batarian terrorists tried to launch Javelin missiles at the colony there. There may be some other references like that. But as far as having an effect, no, not that I am aware of.

Just remembering the data in ME2 where you can either send to the Alliance, or Cerberus or keep for yourself, that grant a readyness bonus... story wise, no, only ME2 story DLC have more significant impact.
I could be wrong though, but can't think of any.

I usually do that quest since it is automatically added to your journal and my OCD compels me to do it. You can't avoid acquiring it like you can with the rest by simply not scanning the planets they are on.

Anyway, thable for the answers guys, I'm just going to skip most of the N7 sidequests since it seems apart from maybe one or two, the rest add nothing.

Be sure to purchase the Pylos Nebula map and go to the Dirada system. You'll want that shield upgrade.

Nope.

Nothing really carries over from ME2 to ME3. Nothing, really of meaning, other than Tali and Legion, but even then. You can still get the "best" ending and achieve galactic unity of one dna and "perfect" harmony without geth and quarian fleets, just gotta play some MP to up your EMS, luz., so... yeah.

Like gummy bears, mostly fat and nothing of value.

No but I'm sure EA will shoehorn DLC into ME4 that branches off previous sidequests.

ME2 wasn't any better in this regard. Remember that quest in ME1 where you could either give the information to the Shadow Broker or The Alliance? When I did that quest, I was pretty sure that is going to have some consequences in ME2. But no, nothing. The Shadow Broker DLC was the perfect time to show the consequence of this choice, but alas, it was forgotten about.

You can't reallly relay this decision to ME3 either, since by then, the original shadow broker is aldready taken down.

Maybe Liara could give you extra kissy-kisses if you gave it to the Alliance.
