Let's remeber the good old days

  • Thresher Maw attack on Akuze - Shepard fought and survived
  • Batarian slavers attack on Mindoir - Shepard lived through that as a kid
  • Battle of Torfan - Shepard fought and survived
  • ME1 - Reaper attack on the Citadel - Shepard survives falling debris from Sovereign
  • ME2 - Poisened by a Batarian bartender. Shepard survives... the only human to survive the poison.
  • ME2 - Collector attack on the Normandy - Shepard dies and is resurrected
  • ME2 - Collector base - Shepard survives a suicide mission
  • ME3 - I don't know how many times Shepard falls down or almost falls down. She survives... <snicker here>
  • ME3 - Shepard somehow runs through a herd of Brutes and the descending extremities of a destroyer Reaper in a heroic effort to cure the genophage. She survives.
  • ME3 - Shepard survives 1:1 battle with a Reaper on Rannoch, just by rolling out of the way of a liquidfied  Thanix laser thing (mod'd for ShotgunJulia).
  • ME3Destroy ending, Shepard's body breathes indicating life... of some sort. It should be impossible, but it happens. Shepard survives.
  • ME2 ADD - Shepard drinks Ryncol. And lives.
Shepard is a super soldier that's had her time in the trenches... S/He's more than a super soldier... I have no words for it. Who's better than a Shepard? No-one.

You also forgot that that is NOT a laser. It is a Thanix type weapon on Rannoch. It is shooting liquid uranium and iron at Shepard and hitting the ground next to her and the cliff behind Shepard and not doing anything to it. It isn't even heating it. Hence, my thoughts that the Quarians are going to be just fine in their underground bunker in cryosleep waiting out the horrors of the war.

Not to mention standing just a few dozen feet from the barrage of an entire fleet of ships shooting at a single pont on a planet.  With no ill effect whatsoever.

Despite the fact that there are few things worse than bombarding a garden world, since that tends to render them non-garden worlds, if yo know what I mean :P

I don't mind the Rannoch fight. Least of my complaints. I got to fight a giant robot on foot. And then Renegade interrupt it's ass. I don't care if it's over the top. I want more over the top. It's one of the few times they got a ****ing clue about what interacting with Reapers should be like.

That's a hell of a lot more satisfying form of "destruction" than shooting a red cylinder (because you were "allowed" to shoot the cylinder, at that).

Ahh... that was only missing the puddle of puke or smear on her face scene.

But, yes. Updated.

The other thing is that it looked like every shot from the first barrage hit. That destroyer should have been toast. ... but we needed a Rannoch boss fight just for video game logic.

Wow, am I picking Mass Effect to pieces now. Remind me never to work on a writing project again.

Shepard proved to be a human and not a clone when he breathes at the destroy ending, making him even super-er.

Also he somehow survived the charge up to meet with archangel (oh wait was that rigged)
And that disease in me2, when looking for Mordin that doesn't affect humans (oh yeah...)
Well there was his pretty epic climb when he almost fell iti death on thessia

Y'know, I just noticed it's Dombrow and/or his team that presents Shepard this way the most (or at all?). I wish there was more stuntman Shep. Falling in Thessia, jumping around in the Tuchanka Reaper battle, leaping from the satellite dish in Overlord, general craziness in the underwater stuff for Leviathan, and Citadel's Die Hard antics.

Remember that moment when Shepard walked towards a huge red canister, shooting it and getting a huge-ass explosion in his face, then flew out of the Citadel's Atmosphere and landed on Earth?

-He survived

Only if Dombrow had written it. It would have been some awesome Evil Knieval moment.

Interestingly enough, I was reading an AP story on which system current users will purchase next based on what they do or don't own currently and one guy literally said he'd be staying with MS's products because he started there for Mass Effect and now is established in that community.  Thought that was an interesting glimpse into the games reach.

My Shep died in ME2, and then came back and out-smarted a clone of himself, and then on that same day had some drinks and slept with Ashley after she almost shot him. It was a pretty eventful day.

ME1 - Defeats the big bad. Emerges from rubble. Good times.

ME2 - Defeats the big bad. Emerges from rubble. Good times.

ME3 - Defeats the big bad? Breathes in rubble? Um?????

I wonder if there'll ever be a day, when we look back and say 'Remember when we used to **** about the endings? Those were good times.'
