Is this the part where I mention that the Dark Side has cookies? Yeah. It totally does. Evil rocks.

But they are chosen after what they do best and then are what they do. If the males have a slight advantage physically, then the warriors are male.jsachun wrote...
Well he does mention in a dialogue between the PC, if you play a female character that in Qunari culture women should only be artisans so forth & not fight.Herr Uhl wrote...
Do we really know how Qunari treat their women? We have yet to see one, so the no-warrior thing might have merit if they are three feet tall and get from point A to B by rolling.
Nope, they're not "chosen" to do something. They're assigned a role based on what the antaam thinks is best or what they're born into. Sten specifically shoots down the idea of a person "choosing" a role when he talks about the person carrying their old life like a shell. With the Qunari you are what you were born to be, period.

Correct. It doesn't matter what you were 'born' to do or what your parents were. The priesthood chooses based on your aptitudes and abilities. My elven mage questioned Sten about this very thing, and how elves are treated by the Qunari. The same, is the answer. Elves can rise to high rank and are not seen as inferior. Your role is decided by the priesthood. Period.

Rock paper scissors tournament *nods*
Edit: On a more serious note, the founder of the philosophy or his first followers probably chose.

They were disciples of Koslun, the guy who wrote the Qun.
Edit: But I assume he selected his disciples by Rock Paper Scissors tournament.

So when exactly was the Qun written? How long have the qunari been living like this?
It predates their arrival in Thedas, but I can't give you a specific date.
