They are player-sexual, like everyone else.

The Qunari will be bisexual but if you're counting on having everyone being playersexual then you're out of luck since Gaider and Perry have both said this isn't likely to happen and there probably won't be more than 4 LI's though there will be bisexual options.

Not to mention a militant and collectivized ideology like the Qun would look upon homosexuality as being utterly useless.

You might want to look up what "militant and collectivized' actually mean.

You might want to play DA so you know what a Qunari actually is.

Collectivized-organize (something) on the basis of ownership by the people or the state, abolishing private ownership or involvement.

Militant-combative and aggressive in support of a political or social cause, and typically favoring extreme, violent, or confrontational methods.

How does that not describe the Qunari perfectly, Drone?

Oh wait, you never played the DA games.

Pick up DA:O and DA2, finish them, and then lecture me genius.

This point.

What is the point of it?

They look upon all sexuality as being utterly useless; sex for pleasure in any sense is verboten and sex is only used for reproduction.

Also, how does the whole "the race is called qunari" thing square with the fact that both qunari and Tal-Vashoth explicitly deny that the Tal-Vashoth are in fact qunari? To call the PC qunari would seem to be a direct contradiction of what all people of that race would actually say.

@Spectre slayer: Gaider didn't said that there are going to be more than 4 LI. He stated that if there are more they'll not be all bisexuals/playersexuals, since they main reason they were in DA2 was because with 4 LI there weren't other way to provide multiple choices for everyone.
There's still the chance there'll be 4 LI. Nothing is certain. Only the Qun is.

Because the devs who actually write the lore say so. Devs trump in game characters.

Yes, I'm just wondering what their reasoning is. Shouldn't the PC race be Tal-Vashoth?

I thought that they had already confirmed that you at least start off as Tal-Vashoth? At least the mage Qunari would have to be.

What Xil wants is for them to call the qunari PC the Tal-Vashoth PC. Unfortunate for Xil, the rights of in game characters mean nothing to the devs and they can call them what they wish. The race is also called Qunari, so it will be the Qunari Inquisitor.

I'm sure it describes the Qunari perfectly fine.

What it does not describe, however, is a society that automatically deems sex worthless unless it leads to children.

Whatever, I do not give a hoot what "Xil calls them". The PC still starts off at least as a Tal-Vashoth Qunari, right?

What is the use of any sex that does not lead to children? David. Please tell me. It's simply for pleasure and nothing more. At best you could argue that it keeps the people calm, but even then you wouldn't have much of a case.

The game is irrelevant. What's relevant is someone claiming a 'militant and collectivized' society must automatically deem sex worthless unless it leads to children. That's simply not true in the slightest.

Then you clearly have not played the game

In this, you are correct; for instance, the Human Hive in Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri apparently has sex as one of the major (and few) recreational activities of its population. However, the qunari do, in fact, deem sex worthless for non-reproductive purposes.

Irrelevant, my a**. David, what we are talking about is in regards to an in-game militant and collectivized society, that DOES deem sex worthless unless it leads to children.
