I was wondering... when you backpack gets full and you want to hold to on to certain items, can you store them at the local merchants?  There is an option for 'buy back'.  Granted, you'll have to pay for them again, but at least you will lose them.

if you complete wardens keep (soldiers peak) you gain access to a chest that you can use for storage (the chest remains at soldiers peak)
there are some mods out there that give a party chest at the party campsite

The Wardens Keep chest will even upgrade your items (for console versions at least).

If you are playing on console, then other than warden's keep, I don't know if there is a place to store things. If you are playing on PC, you can go to dragonagenexus and look for one of the mods that add a storage chest (or, even a "pocket plane" with lots of storage options).

To answer Sword's inquiry, I am playing on a PS3. As for this Warden's Keep that you all speak of, how would one come about this place?

If the question leans on the side of a "Spoiler Alert" simply reply stating so, and I will ask the question in the appropriate forum.

To extend my gameplay I just grabbed the Warden's Keep DL. It sure feels good knowing that there is a place to stash your loot.

Make sure to use the item upgrade feature of the chest. Even if you intend to sell the items, you'll get a much better price if they are upgraded.

Also, you can get the best sword in the game with Warden's Keep.

Caradoc, there does not appear to be an item upgrade option for the PS3

It's a bit uneven-sometime things will be downgraded, sometimes upgraded. it's really tied to your level.By level 17 everythign should be up to the top tier. You can also sell things to the blacksmith; he can upgrade items as well.

Item upgrades can go up or down. Try more than once.

The blacksmith will cost you.

Edit: egads you haven't read all the FAQs for DAO item upgrade: insert :D

I was under the impression that there was/is an option to do so.  As for reading the FAQ's... I have devoted 100% of my attention span (which, by the way is that of a gnat) to ariffmatick.....:) It took me 12 moons for calculate what a sovereign was equal to....

You need to put the items into the chest, leave the area (going to camp is enough), and come back. The items can still be downgraded, so it may take a few tries.

Didn't you kill the Sovereign in Mass Effect? B)
