I don't see this lasting long...but gosh, Javik did not feel like dlc, e quickly became my third favorite squadmate ( knocking Tali out if my top three unfortunatly) (right behind Wrex as 2 and Garrus as #1)
Also, I wish Nyreen somehow could have been saved and kept as a permanent squadmate.

I still have yet to start my multiple male Shepard saves to romance each squadmate that I couldn't seduce with my FemShep.

My personal favourites are

1. Javik -> enriched the story enormously. His cold truth and wisdom from a lifelong experience with the Reapers while everyone acted hysterical was exactly what the game needed. Also had some of the funniest scenes in the game like his joke with Vega.
2. Aria -> Especially in her DLC. Incredibly powerful and charismatic personality.
3. Ashley (only in ME1) -> Also brought a very interesting perspective to the story. She's the prototype of a strong woman with some of the best tough lines in the trilogy and yet a sense for creative things (literature)
4. Zaeed -> I usually don't like one dimensional characters but he plays the role of a hardass mercenary so damn good. Awesome voice acting.
5 Hackett for being a tough son of a ****.

My favourite romance option is Liara.

There are also some characters with short but (for me) impressive appearances I'd like to mention. 
Kirrahe (Losing the Krogan support and having to take down Wrex still paid off because I got his awesome speech on earth)
Urdnot Dagg (from all the Krogans who try to act tough, he actually sounds tough)
Morinth (Awesome voice), Kal'Reegar, Aethyta.

My favorite Romance is Miranda because she was my canon Shep LI... and I love her voice and her ass.

Another favorite would be Liara but she was a bit too worrysome at all times in ME3 and that kinda bummed me.

Third favorite for me is Jack. I actually feel like Shepard's influence on her is good even if she does change in ME3 no matter how you play ME2.

Favorite character would be Garrus. Hard to deny he felt almost like a real buddy in comparison to how well other games had done that.

I also really liked Samara, until they dropped the ball with her in ME3.

Did anyone mention that this thread could turn out to be a major disaster? Just checking.

Other than that, I always felt that every character had at least one aspect that I loved, or atleast made them likeable in one way or another. Before playing ME3 I had Miranda as my canon romance option, but I was absolutely gutted by the lack of attention she received during the third installment, so I pretty much stuck with Liara from that moment on. Shame, that.

Harbinger needed a bigger role. While we show EDI learning about all the positives of being organic we could have shown Harbinger in contrast. Really show him getting pissed off at Shepard. And then start to.show him slowly going insane sadistic and such

Favorite NPCs: Anderson, Aria, Shiala, Hackett, Tevos, Aethyta, Kirahee, Bray, Kelly
Favorite Romance: Liara - favorite character, touching scenes and the best/most complete romance arc with Shepard (imo)
