I was just wondering, since Dragon Age was released last year and Mass Effect 2 will be released on the 28th (isnt it the 26th for Americans) the only game we know of that Bioware is currently working on is SW:TOR. Now we all know that SW:TOR cant be the only project they are currently working on, surely they have a few other projects up their sleeves. What I am trying to ask is what do you guys think, think there is a good chance Bioware will unveil a new game for us sometime this year?

I mean I am a big Bioware fan, I have played most of the games they have released from Baldurs gate right upto Mass Effect and I am always exited to hear about what they are working on next.

Personally I am hoping for a new game in the Jade Empire universe, but then again Bioware could be working on a totally new IP as well.

So what do you guys think, any chance we will get a peek at what Bioware is working this year?

Well, they are making the expansion for Dragon Age, and will probably start making Mass Effect 3, if they haven't already. So that would be 3 games again, or 2 games and one expansion.

Probably... when the commotion for DA and ME2 dies down a bit. They are working on some other game as evidenced by their homepage's drop down menu. For ages now there's been an untitled project listed under Dragon Age, ME2, and SWtOR. I highly doubt that's Awakening. Whatever it is, we will learn of it when they're ready to start a marketing campaign. It may be this year, or it may not if they want to put most of their focus on SWtOR.

It got silenced? Which maybe could be a good thing for the JE fans. If only I could find the CURSED game in shops in my country. ARG!

I guess it died down at some point. I once heard a rumor that Jade Empire had mediocre sales numbers. That would hurt our chances of ever seeing a sequel; assuming it is true.

Yah. I kind of think we'll get a new game announcement before or during this year's E3. But with all the post-game DLC that is in the works for Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2 I'm not 100% sure. I know BioWare has expanded their operations and are pretty good multitaskers but they sure do seem to have a lot of development going on with the aforementioned two games and that makes me wonder if they have the development bandwidth necessary for another full RPG.

BioWare is apparently happy with the sales, or at least, Meadows indicated that it sold well in the old JE forum. So maybe it could happen!

Personally though, I would like to see BioWare make something REALLY out there instead of another JE. No combat systems would be a really interesting change, for one. Or maybe JE2 could have no combat!(Bit frustrated with a difficult battle that I can't get past in DA:O atm.)

My Litle Pony + Bioware label + plenty of gory violence = a good game.  I have a first cousin once removed who will be hitting 5 fairly soon - this would be the perfect game to give to her to induct her into the family's sense of humour

Probably not until close to, or at, E3. Mass Effect 2 isn't even out yet, then you've got Dragon Age awakening and SWTOR on the horizon. They need the air to clear before they go public with another game.

Stan, oh our dear Stan... I think you should know, as a developer, that BioWare is pretty much capable of doing just about anything, yes? BUT, I feel like this is a brilliant idea! Go, make it!

Ah, I was not aware of that. Not that I stuck around the JE forums very long. My stint there lasted maybe three months before I finally burnt out. I would love to see a JE sequel. Except I want insanely complex combat! Okay, maybe not too complex. But more so than JE's single button and style switching approach. Combat could have been so much more interesting if there was more strategy to it. Alas, it turned into a flip fest and chaining styles for long combos wasn't necessary. It just made battles go faster.

I am sorry but how has Dragon Age 2 been confirmed? Just because Bioware is making Mass Effect a trillogy it doesnt mean that every franchise they create will be a confirmed trillogy.

Hell I half expect that Bioware will probably make another game set in the Jade Empire universe before they make another game in the Dragon Age universe, hell for all we know Bioware could be working on a brand new franchise.
