I am sorry but how has Dragon Age 2 been confirmed? Just because Bioware is making Mass Effect a trillogy it doesnt mean that every franchise they create will be a confirmed trillogy.

Hell I half expect that Bioware will probably make another game set in the Jade Empire universe before they make another game in the Dragon Age universe, hell for all we know Bioware could be working on a brand new franchise.

Actually they have confirmed they are working on DAO2 and that it will be out in the next 2-3 years.

Hmm ok but will it pick up where the last game left off with you using the same character or will it be a different storyline and different character but set in the same universe?



And if it is picking up where the first left off will we be able to import our characters like in ME2?

It's pure speculation on my part, but I expect we're going to use a whole new character; possibly in Orlais. Going by Arl Foreshadow's hints it seems pretty obvious. Of course he could always be a red herring for those of us assuming he's as reliable as Lord Foreshadow in Baldur's Gate was. (All that NPC's hints ended up becoming a true.)

The Arl also "foreshadows" (like that great Skinless album!) stuff happening between two people (Morrigan and the kid...) in the Fade so it would be interesting to see one of my warden´s kid...

God I hope if they do create a new Dragon Age they give us the option to play as a human fighter who isnt a stuck up noble.

Bioware should make a present age game (like 19th, 20th century setting). The medieval fantasy and sci-fi settings have already been plenty covered by Bioware, so something in between would be a fresh setting.

David Gaider started writing the story of Dragon Age 2 shortly after the release of DA:O. He posted as much on these forums. Whether it will be made or be cancelled is another matter.

Bioware was working on a secret project a while ago, but it was recently cancelled for reasons I will not disclose, of trust.
