As for Fenris and his sister. Fenris DID know the situation was fishy. Hence him asking for Hawke to come. Something tells me you just don't pay that much attention to the game.

Hint: Ask the NPCs questions to gain more insight into what they are thinking.

Also, it takes more than just being caring and attentive. Sometimes you just have to give space when it's needed and have patience. If not. Hook up with someone else and move on.

Don't know. Guess I must have been bad.

And three years is a lot more than just "space"... After such a large span of time without ever seeing or speaking to someone, I'd consider whatever relationship we had to be over and done with.

I highly doubt Fenris did not see or speak to Hawke during those three years. It means that he merely did not want to talk to Hawke about it.
And for a rape victim and a former slave accustomed to physical and magical abuse, three years is hardly a bad thing to give someone.

Right, I doubt Fenris just sat in his mansion not talking to Hawke. It seems like they all spent some time together and had some downtime. Playing cards, going to each other's houses etc. (based on party banter).

Also, Fenris still considers himself with Hawke during this time. Just flirt with someone and you'll see Fenris react (Tallis and Zevran). He also expresses regret if Hawke moves on. But he's accepting of it and doesn't ask Hawke to choose, a la DAO.

But for someone who was raped and abused, had his memories wiped, forced to kill etc AND still had his former master after him for years. I don't think it's too much to ask for some space. However, I do admit that I wish it was better handled. Perhaps we should have had one more time to talk to Fenris to gain some more insight.

As for why he had sex with Hawke. I don't think he was prepared for what would happen. I think the feelings were so strong that out brought some of his memories back and it was too painful to face. Sex with Hawke must have been really good.

If you don't romance Fenris or Isabella they have a sexual relationship later and there is never any mention of memories or needing space. So that pretty much lets me know that he has zero feelings for her and/or she isn't that good.

Back on topic: Hm, grumpy Grey Warden? I can see him laying the verbal smackdown on all the youngins

I dunno, I usually don't like the dark and broody types, but Fenris made me realize that I'd be perfectly okay with grumpy. It was a lot of fun watching Isabella and Varric tease him, especially when he had a good comeback. I think it'd be nice to have a gruff, but ultimately kind hearted LI in the next game. Especially if the PC gets a chance to tease him a bit. Hmm... Maybe the Grey Warden could fit the bill?

In all honesty, I actually really liked Fenris's romance in that sense. It added a sense of realism for me. And for my male Hawke, it was well worth waiting for. If we were to see that in future games, having to work for the romance a bit, I would be down with that.

I agree. Why not let the PC work for the love? The wait is so worth it. Kaidan and Fenris are both my favorite romances and I think a lot of it had to do with the waiting and the conflict. I loved kaidan getting on my case about Cerberus and Fenris sticking to his opinions regardless of what Hawke thinks. Both of them are very honest characters.

I just wish I could have talked more with Fenris, even if he still wanted space.

I think it was during the deed. He had flashes and then it disappeared but he could still recall bits and pieces.

Exactly, and that is why so far Kaidan and Fenris were so awesome to me. They made the wait definitely worth it.

For male LI I would like to see the Grey Warden (voiced by Kevin Sorbo would be epic IMHO), Varric without question, the Iron Bull, and Cullen. Would also enjoy a non companion LI like Steve in ME3. Call me selfish but I'd like to have as much options as possible :-)

Oh no I never meant that Feris necessarily fit that description, just that his interations with Varric and Isabella made me want a character that did. Though come to think of it, I guess that's kind of Cassandra's MO, so here's hoping for cassandra as LI.
