Who are going to be the female romance options?

To be honest, I'm okay with bi-sexual LIs. It's player sexual that is kind of weird. At least give hints that they are bi-sexual without a certain gender of PC being there. A set sexuality, no matter what, is just something that should be seen.

Well
the difference is Anders had nothing proving he wasnt bisexual
in Awakening, but the lack of interest in the male mage warden is a
smoking gun.

Female Wardens can flirt with Anders in Awakening and he flirts back. I'm pretty sure male wardens have no such opportunity.

It would be hilarious if they brought back Leliana, and they let players romance her, even if a Warden already romanced her. Would be the most shoehorned love triangle since Korra/Asami/Mako.

DO NOT GO THERE. Thank god those two broke up FINALLY.

All of the romance options will be available for the male protag. Sorry to burst anyones bubble, but as of yet we can deduce from various statements from developers that all of the LIs will be available to every protag. While some may feel this is unrealistic (who gives a crap?) the dev's have clearly indicated that they don't have the resources to develop an incredibly wide arrange of characters, so out of fairness what they do have access to will be player sexual. Boo hoo to those who are against it!

We'll when having a BI character make sense then go for it but it it's just to make everybody happy, it kinda cheapens the character. Hell, if they wanted to do that, then Samantha from ME3 should of been BI.

Can you please explain in great detail how exactly it "cheapens" the character?  I would genuinely like to know.  How does a character's personality change based on sexual preference?

It sort of ruins their personality. Think if they made Morrigan bi, her personality doesn't fit it but if they did just to make everybody happy then it would ruin her character.

I'm sorry but that in no way answers my question.  How exactly does it ruin their personality?   In what way does Morrigans personality not fit a bisexual person?  Is it possible that a persons Sexuality is entirely separate from their ideology?

Aside from outright saying she isn't interested in women?  How much more evidence do you really need?

I think it's wrong to apply bisexuality to existing characters, but with new characters it's not an issue for me.  It really just comes down to simple fairness, since the number of LIs is so limited...  But if they made Morrigan bi in DA:I, that's not something I'd support.

I guess you could say she changed her mind about it though... whatever.  It wouldn't really effect me either way.

It doesn't really work that though.  You don't "change your mind" about your sexuality like that.  I think the thing with the Cullen discussion is that because he expressed interest in a female but not a male, people assume that means that he's "not gay (or bi)" with the "or bi" being implied.  However, the only thing we can assume from DA: O is that he is not gay since he showed interest in a woman.  The "or bi" part is still undetermined unless he specifically states that he's only interested in women OR if Bioware chooses to only make him available to female PCs.  I just count that as "word of God" on sexuality.

And when did she say that, pray tell?

To be honest, I always kind of assumed that all the love interest (except Sebastian, course) were bisexual in DA 2 rather than player-sexual.

She never does so; she only says that she dislikes Leliana ogling her. And says the same thing to male characters.

The LIs are not neccesarily bi sexual. they are player sexual.  So dependant on the payer character, their sexuality may or may not change.  I don't personally see a problem with this, as it will provide the most options for every player, also who gives a crap what my personal preferances are and why should they be applied to another persons first player game?

That may actually be what Gaider in particular has a problem with as far as the all-bi companions go when he says objectification.  It's not that they're all bi, but basically that they have companions who tend to show only an interest in one particular sex except when it comes to the pc.  Personally, I'm fine with the all-bi companions since I see it as giving players more opportunity for enjoyment in the game, but I can see why people can be against it as well since plenty of times, it comes off more as some companions simply being player-sexual more than anything.  Would be interesting if they went the ME 3 route with LI's, but romance in general isn't where I would want more resources focused at the expense of certain other features in the game since it's not as big of a deal to me as it is to others.

I seriously doubt Varric would be a LI. He's in a committed relationship.

I think the Bianca thing was finally dropped in the comics, when he got over the lost love he named the bow after.

Varric's writer Mary hinted at Bianca still being alive, so I doubt it's dropped

Well combine that with the fact that a female Warden can't start a romance with her, and it seems pretty clear to me.

Aside from Isabela, I didn't see any. Merrill being the prime example of player-sexuality. Anders is debatable, but only slightly as it was never actually brought up if you are female, and Fenris was your standard Cloud-clone-don't-care. He just hit on you the first chance he got, spending the rest of the time doing absolutely nothing.

Well, the majority of them seemed to need a hug (Anders, Fenris, Merrill) and the other one gave out hugs daily (Isabella), so I suppose it isn't too shocking that they hopped at the first person who offered one.

The female Warden is magically unable to make any sort of overtures, so it's inconclusive.

Nah, it's cool that you want that, but it would also be nice if a character could be themself without my PC's glory controlling their every thought, action, and attraction. It's just kindda weird.

It would be rather annoying if he decided to start randomly dating people after he didn't do it the last game.
