It's crazy how the in-game (DA:O) Morrigan looks prettier than she does in all the concept art and trailers (DA:O and Inquisition).

Don't say that.
The Morrigan looks fine in the DAI trailer folks will object.

I'm hoping for two of the following: Cassandra, Vivienne, a female dwarf, or a female Qunari

If only. You've apparently got a "fetish" if you want a femal qunari for an LI.

It's not really a "fetish." I'm just a little Qun-curious.

Notice that I included two humans and a dwarf.

By the Maker, what an orgy that would be.

My male elf Inquisitor would be thoroughly satisfied and incredibly tired.

Haha What do you you expect? A Qunari is a Qunari... (Well not really.)

It is very weird how a hair style can kill it.
Elves are usually my favorite race but girl... get your hair done.

It looks like a 5 year old who's mom cut her hair with a bowl. She looks crazy though... so I think it might be perfect.

That does not look like a chick who cares one wink about what you think of her haircut. In fact, I suspect she might go out over her way to make it look even worse if you were to ever bring it up to her.

She's totally making a joke about fisting. I love it.

I like the idea of a female character with a bit of crudeness to her. Her party banter's going to be amazing if she turns out to be a companion.

I agree, she looks like an awesome character. Every adventure needs one or two crazy girls along. Saying they talk to the maker, or maybe just has a fun demon pal to help rediscover elf history. Maybe she just has a mother that can turn into a dragon.

Bioware girls... because you have no choice but crazy.

Before Bioware games come out however I am always critical of female characters because I'm afriad that who i'll get stuck romancing.  haha I remember when Samara was announced and I was like... Oh god! Please no grandma love!! There was no lady romance for me in that game and I prefer it that way. (I know many feel differently.)

Sera, perverted blonde elf girl, seems more like a platonic companion, in the vein of Aveline.

In fact, I'm pretty sure that she is being written by Lukas Kristjanson (who wrote Aveline).

I hope I'm right about all this.

Because I would really prefer Cassandra and Vivienne, as of now.

I actually prefer her trailer look for Origins. She looks more distinctive. Maybe even harder if that makes sense while in game she looked softer.

I'm not sure how much weight should be given to the idea that because the same writer is behind Sera who was also behind Aveline, this means it's likely that Sera will also be a platonic character instead of an LI option.

I know what you're saying.  She did look harder in the trailer.  Colder, too.  I also preferred that look, particularly her eyes.  They looked even more feral.

Fair enough. I'm just assuming (for the time being) that the same writers (Gaider, Chee, Kirby, and possibly Hepler) who handled LIs in DAO and DA2 will do so in DAI.

I just don't get the romance vibe from Sera. She seems more like a younger, immature sister. Like Merrill.

I just prefer women (like Cassandra and Vivienne) over girls.

And I'm selfishly forcing my perception on others.

I hope you are right because she seems like to much crazy for me.

But you know, Merrill was a romance and she was alright in that role. (At least I thought so.) Nothing wrong with a girl that you are dying to protect.

I think Cassandra will be a great love interest from what I have seen. The vibe I get from her is that she is a little cold at first and totally embarrased by any romantic gestures. Hopefully the total opposite of Isabella.
I have heard others saying they want Varric and Cassandra together... but the writers would never be so cruel... would they?

Vivienne is someone I am excited to learn more about. :)

The sad thing being, of course, that Merrill was a romance option despite that sisterly vibe.  :?

I would agree with you on that.  Merrill did come across to me more than a bit as more girl than woman and that's probably my biggest turn off for romancing her.  I always felt like there was a bit of a power imbalance in a Merrill/Hawke relationship that struck me as a tad creepy.

I have heard tales of their cruelty. All the war, the bloodshed, the death...

So many fictional characters left to terrible fates. :D

Exactly. I felt like a babysitter. :D

But the alternative was a pirate hooker. So many STDs.

Morrigan and Leliana were far more appealing LIs,  in my opinion.

Ugh nooo! DA has not been a good ground of waifus for me.

Morrigan was too stupid evil (Seriously lady I'm not going to give you a demon baby when there's a perfectly good Alistair/Loghain to sacrifice)

Leliana was a bit... odd (Those are my eyelashes and I'm keeping them!)

Isabela was tolerable enough as a non-waifu but didn't really work for me.

And Merrill... was adorable in a geeky way but sooooooooooooo street dumb.

And that's why Cheesecake Warden just killed things with Bro-Tier Sten, Bro-Tier Dog, and God-tier Shale. Cheesecake Hawke pretty much just hung out with Varic.

Bah, nobody ever agrees with me.  *crosses arms*  I hope there's some secret, super awesome female love interest yet to be revealed.  Otherwise, well...  I suppose it's heterosexual life partners time with my bro, Varric.  I have a bad habit of talking in TV Tropes sometimes.  Anyway, as for the elf girl, I am surprised that you folks know so much about her already.  That reminds me of the Mass Effect 2 character trailers...

I thought Grunt was going to be a one-dimensional, pure evil, killing machine, and I would hate him, and Shep would have to put him down.  Luckily, I was dead wrong.

Meh.  Isabela's a clean pirate.  I don't care what those people said about her on the docks.  Jealous people spread evil tidings.

She's much too discerning to fall prey to horrid diseases, and on the off chance she gets an unlucky break, well...isn't that the point of magic?

Worse is how I've never heard of that particular tvtrope before, but upon reading it the first thing that came to mind is Denny and Alan from Boston Legal.

If I might ask, what in particular worries you about the girls we've seen thus far, if anything? Have you had any moments of "please god not her", or has it mostly been smaller things like the hair?

I sort of like it, it's got a sort of rhythm to it. If Mordin were a giant Minotaur who posted on internet forums a lot I imagine this is what his posts would look like.

Cheers, I wasn't following ME2 when it came out, so I only really saw that one big trailer with Grunt and Thane, for some reason I was certain that Grunt would be a very formal "by the books" soldier, and Thane would be the classic charming "trickster" archetype. So, I guess you've got a pretty good point about not assuming too much about the characters just yet. It's still pretty fun to theorize and imagine though.

I could use a savant LI.
I mean a random companion who'd say "Have you ever wonder about the mysteries of Thedas?Arlathan , the golden city , the Old gods?"
"Wait a minute .You're curious because you want to gain some old power , right?"
"Nope."
"You don't want to...save the Dalish?Destroy the Chantry?Change the world ?"
"Nope.Knowledge is its own reward."
"Marry me"
"I'm sorry Inquisitor I'm not a LI."
/single tear.

I thought Anders suggested ointments meaning there's not magic for it.....I mean, there's no magic that just cleans every disease known to man.....I would certainly hope not anyway.

I wouldn't agree. DA:O Morrigan is a young, rebellious and quite silly girl. The DA:I trailer Morrigan is a woman grown who practically oozes cold confidence. I approve of strong and confident Morrigan.

Edit: Forgot to put in that confident = attractive to me. :)
