true that. Liara's romance has caused problems for Bioware imo. It was so well done. ME players who preferred other romances seem to resent their character's romance with Shepherd got short changed, isn't as good. DA romances have obviously been inferior . The Liara romance has become the benchmark by which other Bioware romances will be judged, and that's unfortunate for future Bioware romances like ME4 and the secret new IP they're working on, assuming it has romances . A tough nut to follow . ROTFL. Funny.

The bolded is a pretty big assumption. I liked Fenris and Zevran's romances a lot. And I do not personally use Liara's romance as a comparison to other Bioware romances. Kaidan's was vastly superior IMO.

not according to what other ME players have written .
But believe what you want. I have to go back and read Perry's article on sex scenes to see if he cites the Liara romance.

I hated the DA2 romances . Tolerated Isabela and Merrill, despised the others. Felt sympathy for Fenris but never found him attractive.
All the DA2 romances were terribly inadequate . Zevran was funny but never wanted to romance him. Find him somewhat icky.

I wouldn't say that is so... I thought the romance in ME3 was terrible. We had known each other for years, sleeping together on and off but we wait till the last second to be together again and in Mass effect. 2 she was DLC. I thought Garrus was a good romance, as well as Liaras. To each their own.
My most devistating LI experience was not being able to romance Morrigan... But in hindsight I see why.

I've never romanced Liara. For some reason I find her boring as **** whereas Kaidan is simply "normal." Am I weird? Am I missing out on the bestest fictional romance since Catherine and Heathcliff? Can Shepard not life without his life? Can he not live without his soul

The problem with ME's romances was the obvious favoritism they showed to one character over the others. Liara had/has a big fanbase and based on that they decided to give chunks of content to her and her romance. However, that doesn't mean that players wanted their romances to be exactly like Liara's. They simply wanted more content with what they already had. I would choose to romance Kaidan any day over Liara. Give me the Cerberus conflict, the Citadel showdown, the apologies, and heck even the two game wait over Liara's instant love. I just wanted more Kaidan. Posted Image

I also do not consider DA romances as inferior. they both have their pros and cons and can even learn from each other.

DA: I can talk to my LI and sleep with them and kiss them whenever I want (until they reject me), I can give my LI gifts and they can give me one. I also like helping my LI.

ME: The love scenes are very well done, and the longer romances spanning multiple games are well done (when they pay attention to them)

If the Next DA and ME titles mix it up and give us the best of both worlds they would do alright.

I'd rate the Ashley and Morrigan romance archs over Liara's. Just my opinion of course.

could never romance an ugly alien, bug, reptile , whatever. ME3 had flaws besides just the ending.

Maybe we discuss Sera, a female elf who has been described as "bratty", who may be a party member.

That's just your opinion. For ME, I thought Garrus was hands down the best romance. Yes, he's fugy but I don't have to make out with him so it's cool, lol.

I wouldn't call any ME romance inferior to the DA ones - esp Origins. Origins had great romances, all of them. I can't find fault wth a single one. In DA2, it did feel lke they tried to favor Anders to me but I could be crazy and I only romanced him the once with Female Templar Hawke that hated mages, thus made Anders life a living hell, lololol. And I STILL killed him at the end! Mwuahahahaha!

Bald women can be beautiful . Persis Khambatta ?The bald young woman in the first Star Trek movie. Sinead O' Connor. A long time ago.
So a bald woman can be beautiful, sexy, and attractive imo.

Indeed. Liara is bald. And you have people swooning for her.

To be fair, Asair have their head...thingies...that kinda make them look like they aren't bald.

Yeah, those head "things" totally gave me the illusion that she had hair.  Anyway, Vivienne just reminds me of the very unpleasant surprise I got playing Skyrim when I took off Rayya's turban.  The only Redguard in the game that you can marry, and she has no hair.  Great.  A bald woman can be beautiful, sure, but... something about this just doesn't sit well with me.  It's like a huge obstacle that I need to look past, when she could simply just grow some hair instead... but of course, with this being a video game, there's no changing it once it's done.  I doubt we'll have a dialogue option to talk Vivienne into growing her hair out, right?  My only option was to give Rayya the Forsworn headdress, which at least looked like a wig.

I'm not entirely sure who you're referring to, but Liara was close enough to human for me, and she had a great storyline.  This is easily my favorite Bioware romance.  I do think it was unfair that every other LI in ME had less than half of her overall content... they even included her in the original ending, no matter who you romanced.  Now, if you were talking about people like Garrus and Thane, I agree.  Personally that's a little too alien for me, no matter how much I liked those characters.

As for Sera... not excited about her either.  A "bratty" LI?  Ugh... reminds me too much of Isabela already...  I'd prefer a serious, ninja-style rogue like Thane than a playful trickster.  We'll see what happens.  It probably won't be as bad as I imagine.

Honestly I don't really know who to expect since I'm not sure of all the characters that will be present in the game.

What I do know is that Id like three romance options for each sex. It would add more variety and allow for set sexualities as thats something I would prefer. With three romances for each sex they could have choices for all players no matter their sexuality and have the character sexualities play important parts like with Leliana and Zevran!

I want Cassandra as an option.

Also I say no to the all "bi" option. Its ridiculous.
