Do qunari even come in snarky form?  Sten's humor seemed dry at most (and sarcastic at best).

I think I'll wait to hear the basic storyline before I decide on a character.  I played a human/noble/rogue for Origins and a mage Hawke for DA2...mostly because I liked those back stories more.

I always have to have my evil Human (used to be Elf)/Male/Mage(Blood Mage) combo. But I'm not sure what to do for my FIRST playthrough. I tend to base/build all my characters on set themes, with influences from the game's main decisions and available companions. So i'd be tempted to make some basic tank-style character just as a tester, and THEN go through with my 'real' characters...

About that technically you don't need to find an armour that is silver and blue since we can make it that color if that's what you want to do instead of just searching for some random blue and silver armour which could take awhile lol hell if you want to you can dye it pink and have the pinkinquistion .

Not sure about animal companions yet, or the specializations

At first I was planning on a Human Male Warrior (S&S).

But then the Qunari were announced, so probably Female Qunari Mage (Nuker) or Warrior (S&S or maybe a new weapon class if available).

Human male melee rogue first. All my characters are always wise-ass, good-natured melee rogues with commitment issues. I don't know why. It'll be interesting to see how a wise-ass Qunari works out.

I usually play has a male human mage first. Since we have more choices, I'd like to be a male Dalish mage. Perhaps I'll try female first, this time around.

At the moment I'm thinking female Qunari, but I'm not sure what class. Either warrior or mage, probably. Then, if I like the game enough, I'll be trying a female elf rogue, and after that, who knows.

Probably not going to happen since they've already said we will be Tal'Vashoth, and that it's unlikely they are going to give us the option of following the Qun.

Yeah, BW sure knows how to disappoint. I was hoping to be a Tamassran and pal around w/ Isabela for the entire game, while demons are running amok.

Because that is what will cause the most sideways looks from NPCs, if DAO and 2 are examples to follow.

I think female Qunari mage has since surpassed Elven mage in the 'accepted by no-one' department tbh.
