As long as my lady dorf could look as cute as this... I wouldn't mind a beard.franciscoamell wrote...

My other frontrunner would be a male elf mage, but I may just create a character for each race and gender before really starting and see which one feels best to play with then. I'm so pumped for this game, guys.

My warden is an Dalish Elf/Male/Daggers
and Hawke is a Human/Female/Shield Warrior.
That is just a guess though... I'll probably base it on how I want my party.

Maybe female, depends on how much I know about the game before playing.

As for class, I'm leaning towards mage since they'll be tied to the story, but I also feel like a "canon" playthrough of a warrior would be better for my first game, sort of like the regular Male/Soldier Shepard.

Elf, because why would I want to play a human? I am one already.
Female, because I am one and it feels weird to play a guy.
Mage, because... With some shame I admit I just can't play DA with any other class. I mean, stabbing things and smashing things just feels... inferior after RAINING FIRE ON MY ENEMIES. I'm in Act 1 of DA2 with a rogue currently and it's just... meh. Give me back my force and elemental spells.

Female elf mage, unless the female qunari look as badass as I expect them to and can be mages (I have my doubts, and I am NOT playing a Saarebas, even an ex-Saarebas).
Qunari mage has been confirmed, but it won't be the stitched up armoured Sarrebas or ex one because we will not be following the Qun and they said something about it being a horrible idea somewhere.
@Mike_Laidlaw any word if we can play as Qunari mage?5:25pm - 31 Aug 13
@lpmc94 You can, yes.5:27pm - 31 Aug 13

Definitely first playthrough will be a female mage - either human or elf. To be honest, which one will probably depend on which race looks better in the character selection screen.

Yay, thanks. Qunari mage it probably will be, then, and she'll have a secondary, personal agenda of stomping out the atrocity that is the Qun.
