Yes, I very much can blame a race of people who always seem to conviently have a reason for why they continue to murder people.
I'm not saying it's good. I'm saying the reason is understandable. It's tragic, but I fully understand why the Geth react the way they do.
Not what I'm saying at all. Sure they deserved to act that way for the first 200 hundred years. But at a certain point they will become resposible for their actions.

They've seen how sythetics are treated by who?
Organics.
More like quarians. they really only learn about the outside the Veil through the extranet.

They have the Morning War and then nothing else.
They have access to the extranet and galactic communications. They know what organic policy regarding synthetic life is. They know that the Council holds synthetics to be a grave and terrible threat. They have access to the history of synthetics in the galaxy under the Council and how they have been regarded by the population at large. They know that synthetic sympathizers are often persecuted and detracted as well as being very few in number.
How many examples of this do you have? The geth are the only thing comparable to the geth from this cycle. Sure there will be animosity. They killed a bunch of people. Idiots, but people none the same.

So, using that,  they believe that it is justifed to kill everything that comes near them, which is definitely fallicous.
Given that they see the juxtaposition of organics that want to hail for peace as contrasting the nigh overwhelming negative image of synthetics and the Geth in the galaxy at large, they have much reason to distrust any organics that come into their territory, along with their own bitter experiences of dealing with organics in their own war.
At a certain point, it becomes less about survival and more about just violence. Killing everything that comes near, especailly nonthreatning vessels, has nothing to do with any attempt at exterminating the geth.

If they are like animals, than it is understandable. But they are not, collectively speaking, so they should have this thing called reason, and learn that shooting everything is not the way to gather sympathy.
They are like animals. They are exactly like animals. They have reason. When they were attacked, they lost this ability to reason. Later, they developed a different reason based on their own observations and cynical opinion of organics.
And thus, they are responsible for their own actions. This has little to do with the quarians at this point and more to do with them being just as bad as those that discriminated against them.
Here's something else: The Geth aren't looking for sympathy. They're looking for survival.
Those evil and destructive scouting vessels. We must stand against them. All three of them.

As I said, this isn't a question about the intelligence of the Geth.
You used that a as reason that they became less intelligent, unintelligent enough to go primal, even though that clearly isn't the case. They fought for survival wiht the clear knowledge of any rational being. They didn't go back on instinct.
When the Geth were attacked by the Quarians in the Morning War? It's very clearly stated, repeatedly, that due to attacks by the Quarians as well as them being at primitive level of interconnection and consciousness, the Geth responded in a way that was unpredictable and desperate. They weren't behaving like rational beings. They did go back on instincts. The game makes this clear in Legion's Network mission.
They didn't fall back on anything. They simply acted to survive, which is completely understandable, but they knew what they were doing. Also, it is clearly stated that the geth lost almost virtually nothing, not even having those to mourn after the war. They didn't loose anything. Compare this to the quarians who lost almost everything, including VIs of their ancestors who were just about the exact opposite of threatening. Do I blame the geth, no? But I'm not going to pretend like they did not and still do not understand what they were doing and how it went.

The perpetrators of the provocation were long dead and yet the animal didn't stop killing and killing and killing. the Quarians had every right to put them down.

Yes they did. They actively stopped pursuing the Quarians when they fled Rannoch. The only times the Geth killed was when their territory's space was violated. And I've explained why this is such an issue for the Geth. Read through my previous posts.

The Quarians had a right to try and put the Geth down. And the Geth had a right to fight them and defend themselves.

The Quarians don't deserve to die, the Geth don't deserve to die.

Can I just say with that if the Quarians had the same attitude of some of the posters on this forum, I can EASILY see the Morning War spinning out of control as the Quarians loose land, then cities, then continents - specially if the Geth reciprocate the take-no-prisoners approach of their Creators.

Speaking of this topic, I wanted the option for a badass one-liner while shooting Legion in the face. Something like "You were a toaster, but now you're just toast" or "This is for Jenkins" or "Domo arigato, bitch".

"This is for Jenkins, bitch!" I was going to do that when I had a play through whrere Tali and Legion were dead, but Raan? Noooooo. She doesn't give you a chance. I was waiting for those interrupts. She just whipped out her big assed shotgun an blew the ****ing thing away.

"I knew that thing would turn on us."

Completely and utterly off topic but I've found myself wanting to play a class that's not adept/infiltrator lately.

I don't wanna play soldier but of engineer, sent or vanguard which is the easiest to play?

Sentinel is more versatile and has fun with both tech and biotics.  Cryo blast + throw = win.

Vanguard gets to charge around and stuff.

I like both

Seriously, though, many of us, including me are just trolling to incite the Geth fanatics.

What is really baffling to me is how it happened all so quickly. It is like the Quarian society got reduced from a first world to a fourth world society overnight, and the quarian military ended up fighting a WW 1 infantry war against the Geth from the beginning instead of a high tech war. It's like the Geth were able to hack the entire Quarian defense structure, and the Quarian civilian infrastructure. The Quarians didn't stand a chance. It was a blitz against Rannoch and all of the Quarian colony worlds.

I thought vanguard was difficult though because if you tied your Charge+Nove wrong you'd get screwed? But yeah I'm kind of leaning towards Vanguard might have to put the game on Casual though.

Not so baffling. Sentient software capable of getting into any electronic device (LotSB files if Legion is sold - Cerberus scientist freaks out over an active datapad in the same room with Legion). The Quarian military was heavily supplemented by Geth (built as tools of labor and war). It makes sense to me that their counter-counteroffensive would quickly fall apart, even before "toxins" came into play. Cut power to anything and everything. Drop a thousand aircars from the sky on a whim, or hijack them as impromptu kinetic weapons. Think of the hell they could play with logistics alone.

Picture the poor grunt lounging in the enlisted barracks who suddenly gets ordered to go out to the motor pool and switch off that eleven-foot-tall Prime with the AMR built into its arm.

As evidenced by the toll of the Morning War, the Quarians were absolutely right to fear the Geth's capabilities. Their failure was in the assessment of their intent.

I know! It was a dare! :crying: Thankfully I'm using default Shep so I don't have to go OMG SHEP WHAT. WAT ARE YOU DOING WHY? It's an imposter who's pretending to be Shep. (That said I made him an adept. I'll be damned if I play a soldier).

LOL

True but by god ME1's accuracy is terrible until you lvl the weapons up. If ME3 does anything well it's the combat. ME1 storyline with ME3's combat would be a nice remake.

XD they're not so bad. Though shockwave needs a boost in damage or something.

Only reason I used shockwave in ME2 was husk bowling ball. ME3 I could use it sure but why would I when there was throw and pull...
