Every previous info and update has been removed as both EU trademark and countdown site are a hoax.

*sigh*

There's still VGA today for any possible reveal. Though, that's now a unfounded hope.

The survivor 2299?

Hmh, events of New Vegas start in 2281. And Fallout has the thing to call protagonist "The Something".

So, protagonist The Survivor doing some stuff 18 years after New Vegas setting?

11th December, you mean?

And that's when the countdown ends.

I want the shooting to be ACTUAL shooting.

Tired of a .50 cal hitting a HUMAN head and the bad guy is like

"hey man that was rude my head is now crippled"

I want Fallout 4 to be like FarCry 3 except with (obviously) way more rpg elements. But keep the shooting.

In preparation I will only eat what I kill, will walk everywhere, and live in constant fear of cazadores, deathclaws, and people trying to steal my Sunset Sarsaparilla star bottle caps.

Agreeing with the Swede here - I hope it's a lot better, in terms of its writing, than Fallout 3. I loved Obsidian's New Vegas. I do admit enjoying Skyrim for a while after going back and playing it again because the story was dull, and the Dark Brotherhood wasn't as great as in Oblivion. I was somehow hooked. Still haven¨'t finished the main story so that says a lot. I hope it is miles better than Fallout 3 and less gray & brown like New Vegas. My impression was that Fallout, as a series, is a mix of gritty subjects and upbeat wackiness.

There's an ign article on this, too.

When The Evil Within came up, I was crossing my fingers that Fallout 4 would be going on in the background at one of their other studios.

I may be in the minority, but I loved Fallout 3. In fact, I liked it more than FO:NV...well, except that I played it on PS3 originally, and it was buggy as a mother trucker.

Well, and Boone... Image IPB

I expected Fallout 4 would be next up on their list. Glad they're not wasting time supporting ESO and carrying on with their single-player franchises.

Unfortunately I don't like Fallout much, so I'll just hold out several years until TES VI.

Yeah, I found Skyrim very disappointing on that part.

As well with shallow role playing elements.

Though, same exact problem I had was with Oblivion too. However, Fallout 3 came after it and didn't had those problems.
Though it still had some poor writing and some shallow role playing elements, but nothing close to Oblivion and Skyrim.

New Vegas nailed my experience perfectly. Great story and deep role playing elements. Oh I love those.

I really really hope they fix the disgusting UI. It is almost as bad as Borderlands.

A Bethesda Fallout? Don't care. They failed miserably with FO3. Wake me up when Obsidian does another FO, Chris and Josh know what FO is about and don't rehash old game stories with pure black and white power tripping.

I'll be interested if Bethesda manages to create a less black&white experience than Fallout 3. It would also be nice if Bethesda sacrificed the sacred cow of karma. I know it's been a series staple, but I hate how karma works. FNV's reputation system doesn't get rid of karma's issues so much as it tries to step around them with limited success.

Then again, the game can be utter crap and I'll probably still buy it eventually because it's Fallout. Unless they get rid of unarmed combat. That's been my go-to approach since Fallout 2. Won't feel right playing without a power fist. :P
