I want the shooting to be ACTUAL shooting.

Tired of a .50 cal hitting a HUMAN head and the bad guy is like

"hey man that was rude my head is now crippled"

I want Fallout 4 to be like FarCry 3 except with (obviously) way more rpg elements. But keep the shooting.

Yeah, it'd be nice if it played more like a traditional shooter with realistic weapon behaviors and damage.

The good thing is my .50 cal turns everything into bloody meat paste thanks to the awesome M82 user-made mod. :kissing:

I'll be interested if Bethesda manages to create a less black&white experience than Fallout 3. It would also be nice if Bethesda sacrificed the sacred cow of karma. I know it's been a series staple, but I hate how karma works. FNV's reputation system doesn't get rid of karma's issues so much as it tries to step around them with limited success.

Then again, the game can be utter crap and I'll probably still buy it eventually because it's Fallout. Unless they get rid of unarmed combat. That's been my go-to approach since Fallout 2. Won't feel right playing without a power fist. :P

Won't surprise me if Betehsda just sticks with karma in FO4 and igonres the rep system again depsite being amazing in NV. This is Betehsda afterall, can't be a Bethesda game without black and white.

I don't want to play a shooter, when I play Fallout. Improving the shooting mechanics is fine with me, but not at the cost of the RPG elements -- Because that usually meas that stats end up becoming utterly meaningless as you can somehow hit a fly, from a mile away, with a 9mm without no prior knowledge of weapons training anyway. That was what ME2 did wrong, imo. It was also a problem in Human Revolution. I do agree that it is silly that a bloke can just shrug off a bullet to the head. But this is Fallout we are talking about, not any of those spunkgargleweewee-spectacular-realistic'-shooters. There are people turning into Super-Mutants, after getting exposed to 'magic' as opposed to good ol' toxic waste which will usually just kill you. Not to mention the Courier, from NV, being shot in the head and somehow able to 'walk that off'.

Yeah, no. When I play an FO game I expect it to be an FO game and not a dudebro shooter w/ RPG elements, thank you very much.

Nothing will make me hate Bethesdas Fallout more if they did this. When I play a FO game I expect heavy stats, not a generic FPS.

Yeah, I'd walk away from the franchise if it became a shooter. I don't think there's anything wrong with liking shooter gameplay elements; but it's not what I'm personally interested in while playing Fallout. Earlier I noted my love of unarmed. If Fallout became super realistic, I wouldn't be able to run up to people while shrugging off gunshots and then punching their heads clean off their shoulders in a single blow. :P

Fallout has never struck me as realistic besides. Otherwise there would be so many things to nitpick over besides guns. Like how food can survive for over two centuries without turning into mush. -_-

They better hire some writers, that part is terribly lacking on their part.

That is true.

Doubt it'll be a 2014 title though, and trademarking doesn't mean its being made, just making sure no one else can use it.

I'm really excited for this game, it doesn't matter what you haters say, FO3 was a complete success in every single way and you all know it.

Just download Project Nevada and turn global damage all the way up. 50 cal headshots will kill your enemies super dead. Honesly though, Fallout 3 and NV's shooting content left a lot to be desired and if they're going to include any shooting content they'd may as well do it properly.

I liked FO3 but the writing was **** and the UI was abysmal. Don't even get me started on the copy pasted enviroments.

One can still hope Beth' made at least some notes about reputation.

Although I did enjoy FO3's karma. There's something entertaining about enslaving the general populace and screwing the 'Brotherhood' and their ilk over.

Ok, the UI was ****, I can give you that, but I honestly don't care about the writing (Especially if I am buying a game from Bethesda).

Bethesda's stories aren't all black and white morality, don't forget about "The Pitt".

Ruins my immersion when a gun feels like a paper gun in a game WITH guns.

Also ruins my immersion further when I snipe a guy in the head and he just coveres the wound with his hand. You can have good shooting with heavy rpg elements. Open your mind.
