With Cherchez La Femme, yes. It's not a romance in the BioWare sense, tho'. It's more like a subtly implied emotional connection. I thought it was great in context of how briefly you get to know her.

Well, I just finished Dead Money. I'm in awe. Wow. For how terrifying that was (to me), I thought it was really well done. Freaking amazing.

At the end, I opted to do a save right before talking to Elijah, and killed him. Running out of there was ridiculous! I blew up a few times, before I got it right. At some point, I should probably go back and trap him, but I'm ready to be back in the Mojave.

And dang it, I with I would have had Cherchez la Femme.

I trapped him my first go. It felt pretty satisfying knowing he would die a slow, waning death in the vault alone. >.< Definitely a pain, though. I had to use a stealthboy to run past him before he reached the platform. If I tried to sneak he spotted me, or I moved too slowly and didn't make it before the barrier dropped.

Anyway, congorats.

Edit: You didn't miss much, honestly. It's a small change in dialogue early on, and not referenced when you reunite inside the Sierra Madre. It's mostly a role-playing thing and might change how you interpret the farewell message you get on your Pip-Boy.

On my first playthrough I killed him.

Mainly because I didn't knew you can trap him. That got fixed in second playthrough.

I knew you could trap him from reading the achievement list in advance. It took me less than two seconds to decide I was trapping that mofo. Death was too good for him. XD

You can also tell Veronica that you met and trapped him in an old world prison.

I can't remember. I had low strength so approximately four bars? I dropped almost my entire inventory to grab as many as I could without being encumbered.

lol... at first I tried to grab them all foolishly thinking I could sneak out loaded down with gold. Didn't work out. XD

...I'm so greedy in general. When I cleared Caesar's camp in my last game I took the time to loot every corpse and slooowly make the trek to Novac. Must have taken 30 minutes. I ran into a Legion assassin squad on the way too. Had to reload a few times 'cause it was on hardcore and Arcade kept dying. :/

If something's worth over 10 caps I tend to pick it up. >.>

I took none. I figured that if anyone else could make it through that gauntlet to the gold bars, they deserved them. :innocent:

Also, my original intent was to trap Elijah, but I got to the entrance right as the barrier went down. So I just went with it.

So if you do trap him, do you have to run all the way through that maze, or can you just leave through the door he came in through? Seems that would have been easier, and probably better, in the long run.

I need to sell some crap. I dumped a lot of it once I got out of that bunker, but kept the bear claw fists, holorifle, etc. I didn't use any of the food and miscellaneous stuff I picked up in SM. I thought I'd need everything I found, but didn't. Anyway, I seem to have my own arsenal at the Lucky 38. I am becoming a pack rat. I could use the cash, though. My babies need some mods.

You have to make a dash for the elevator to escape. And you can't be spotted or he turns on your collar. I had to get out of there pretty quickly. Didn't even get to hear his final words, as the second Elijah realizes he's screwed he tries to take you with him. XD
