The Pimp-Boy does rock. Love the gold finish. XD As for strength 2, it's not as bad as it sounds. The Weapon Handling perk bumps it up to 4 for the purposes of weapon requirements, and OWB nets another two points. Since the heaviest weapon that character will ever use requires 6 strength it's sufficient to start at 2.

Carry weight is the only issue. That said, it's not a gigantic loss either. The difference between my characters is like 40lbs, I think. However, I don't often notice it since my unarmed gal lugs around piles of spears and throwing daggers for ranged combat. It mostly evens out as long as I limit myself to two guns.

It's usually when I enter an area with too many little junk items that I wish she had more carry weight. XD

Thanks SC. Laid it out perfectly. That's a great rundown and now at least I understand what it does. I'm going to do a little more research before I decide. I really, really like the concept being that I'm pretty attached to both...but prefer New Vegas if I had to make a choice.

Same, fortunately that mod exists otherwise I doubt I would've played Fallout 3 ever again. I just can't play without the ironsights.

They also said Werewolves weren't going to "happen" in Skyrim. I think I'll wait. I'm not too excited anyway, lately I've been ignoring most games that interest me, I just hate having to wait, best not to get into it until it's going to be released.

Which begs a number of questions. Least of which...countdown?

I hope its not a troll and Bethesda is riding it for all its worth. That would probably tick me off.

Yeah, I dig iron sights too. Thing is, the best I have in FO3 right now is a red dot.

EDIT: Obsidian really got that right in New Vegas.

Same with weapon mods, I can't play without that, without the weapon mod menu or without MCM and FO3 has no MCM. It has a mod that adds weapon mods, but that's a bit of a complicated mod, I hear thats where Obsidian got the idea.

I use WMX and love the hell out of that thing. No separate menu (as I recall), but really expands weapons mods AND the ability to craft them. Some are quite difficult to craft, but are worth it in the end. Also, a good number of my modded-in weapons (I love guns, so I have ton of them on) come with their own unique mods as well. I'm looking for a good weapon 'mod' mod for FO3 as we speak.

Like Obsidian's openness to adding in player mods they see, I hope that's the direction Beth takes FO4. At least they've shown us recently that they're good about giving us more content in each iteration as opposed to less...and that they make serious attempts to add in some of the fantastic things the mod community comes up with.

BTW, NMM has been down for a couple of days. Well, at least, I can't access it.

Well I know for FO3, there's FOOK2 which has an insane amount of weapons and armors, it also adds them to Raiders and Talon Company I believe.

NMM is down because they have been centralizing their site and expanding for all kinds of mods from all games, not just the sites that they used to have. Nonetheless, you can still download manually and add the zip files you download through NMM afterward or you could just do it the dirty way, unzip it and throw all the files into the data directory.

I'll have to check out FOOK2 then. I had a good handle on NV mods, but not so much with FO3. The mods for NV are far better than those I've found for FO3. Yeah, I know its a couple of years older, but still. I have 6 pretty good weapons I added in, but I'll give FOOK2 a look for sure.

Just started The Lonesome Road, picked up ED-E, and am starting to wander around. I'm happy to be picking up Anti-Material Rifles, that I missed out on in Honest Hearts. Whee!

Marked Men are creepy. At least they don't breath like Ghost people.

I had some of the most fierce gun/clawfights with those bastards where I had to use ruins as cover. Among the most satisfying moments in New Vegas for me.

Yep, they magically appear with GRA. I live and die by them in New Vegas. That video does the experience justice. Hint, hint, Happy, look what they do to Deathclaws.

Ooh! You sold me! I will keep watch for explosive rounds! I've been using my Tri-Beam on Marked Men, but will definitely switch when I get to Deathclaws. Red Glare is kind of nasty. Well, for me. I've picked up a few so far, from turds bent on kebab-ing me.

Just found the detonator, and blew up the first warhead. I gotta stop for tonight, but I'll pick this up tomorrow, after I get home from work. Can't wait!

^Have you fought those tunneler creeps yet? If not, I recommend a riot shotgun, pretty handy since they come in groups.

No, no tunneler creeps yet. I haven't even found a tunnel! Just lots of burned guys. But joy! I actually did bring the Riot Shotgun with me this time.

I haven't found a flare gun, either, but I'll hold onto it when I do. I did pick up a couple of Arc Welders. They seem kind of pointless. And H&H Nail Guns. Do you guys use them at all? I might just sell the ones in my inventory at a commissary.

I saw in the wiki that there is a shoulder-mounted gun you can pick up in that first town. I will be looking for that as well. How very Predator!
