Perhaps I'll finally do that neutral run through Fallout 3.  I've got a taste for it now, and I wore out New Vegas.

That's the real problem for me, nothing else to play. At least it's easy on the wallet.

Oh, and hoax guy is doing an AMA on reddit. Trying to stretch out his 15 minutes.

He spent $990 and 700 hours creating the hoax. In case you think your life is small and sad.

That's just insane. What an ass.

Ok, Ulysses just seized control of ED-E. He might have to die now.

...and I see a bunch of Deathclaws in my scope. Waa.

I just got Ninja'd by Blade, and his stupid stealth boy. Luckily, I splatted him out on the pavement, before he did too much damage.

Then I took out 3 warheads in one area. Somehow, I've missed a lot of them, I think...unless there are more coming. I only found 16 or 17 so far. And only found 3 upgrades for ED-E, before he was wrestled out of my grasp. Meh.

Well, I am sad to find out that the whole thing was a hoax, but I'm still holding a candle for FO4. The US studio could be working on it in Stealth mode for all we know.

Besides, I do have to say, the hoax did inspire me to dust off FO:NV, and it got my hubs to play FO3 again. And it brought us all together. I've been enjoying the crap out of playing the NV DLCs, and regaling my progress here.

Speaking of which, I'm still playing TLR. Discovered the joy of tunnelers and ninja Deathclaws, and am intrigued by Ulysses. I kinda hope I don't have to kill him. Please don't spoil it for me!

No spoilers here regarding Ulysses. Tunnelers and ninja DCs...you're getting the full experience. Image IPB How many warheads have you detonated? Don't forget the Courier's Mile...its easy to miss.

I have the map markers for Courier's Mile, but wasn't sure what it entailed. I just got to Ulysses' Temple. It's been a hectic road here.

I believe I'm still at 17 warheads. Sad, huh?
Edit: grand total of 23/30. Bah.

Oh! And I'm now at level 47.

Some of those warheads are tricky to find. They're buried in terrain high above where you need to look, or partially obscured by rubble. I spent hours combing areas I had already been through tracking them all down. Other than a slight sense of satisfaction, it wasn't worth the time. I'd just check out a YouTube video and save yourself the trouble. :P

As for Ulysses... I killed him without a shred of hesitation. Decided before he took ED-E too. I took him as being a pseudo-intellectual with delusions of grandeur and nothing more.

I would do the same to myself. I see the Courier as only slightly different in that those with true power decide to utilize her--putting her in a position of greater influence than Ulysses. She could easily fill his shoes--and grave, instead. :P

I take a dim view of individuals who choose to prop themselves up and play godling because they think they know better than everyone else.

That whole DLC was a bit disappointment for me. All the DLC's leading up to the other courier, and I thought there'd be something with meat to it.

The guy had a screw loose and his 'logic' not only didn't work, it didn't make a lick of sense. Talk about major disappointment, I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop to explain what he REALLY was doing, what his REAL motivations were.

Yeah, I'm a little ashamed to admit that I let him live, now. The kick in the face for me was either having to sacrifice ED-E, or nuking someone. Let's just say I choose poorly all around (ED-E was the casualty).

I read up on the Courier's Mile, and decided I wanted nothing to do with it. Irradiated Marked Men, and Deathclaws that deal Perception damage? Good lord, no thanks. I kept a couple of saved games, just in case I felt like going back pre-Ulysses, and I know I can go back there whenever, even post-Ulysses, but I doubt I will.

Then something awful happened. I got back to the Mojave, and couldn't decide what to do next. I picked up Mojave ED-E, and Boone, and went...nowhere. I was stuck. So I watched some Food Network, then started a new playthrough of Fallout 3.

I wasn't thrilled with The Lonesome Road, tbh. I think my favorite of the four was Old World Blues, and the survivalist story from Honest Hearts. And I loved Christine.

He was obsessed and angry that his future was taken away. When people are obsessed about something they can do some very stupid things.

In fact most of the DLCs had obessession as the main theme, Elijah obsessed with technology, Joshua Graham obsessed with revenge, the Think Tank obsessed with science and Ulyssess obsessed with you. Most of those people weren't thinking clearly while in that state.

I personally didn't kill him, the warheads are disabled anyway, so if he got a notion of doing anything again he couldn't, good luck finding another well armed facility such as that one, I doubt there are many that are operational.  The think tank is the only group of people who deserve to get shot IMO, what they did is probably worse than whatever any character has done before, most of all they cannot be trusted.

I also spared Ulysseus; he gives good advice about Lanius when you meet up. I think the Legion messed with him, like it did with Anthony and the others, and it's understandable he lost it. Makes me feel better that Boone and I send Caesar straight to hell: thumbs down. I also sacrificed Divide ED-E, the real hero of this story. At least he lived on with Mojave ED-E.

As for Courier's Mile, it's one heck of a place. I used the holorifle to introduce myself.

Do you think Veronica was the one who Christine was romantically involved with? I think so, and I kinda hope they meet up again.

I spared Ulysses, as the Courier really isn't in a position to judge, and it gives both a chance for redemption. I didn't like the DLC for imposing that background on our character, and it's my least favorite of the DLCs in general, but still a good way to round out the game by giving you some resolution and combat challenge.

I'm replaying FNV now with a science- EW build and determined to get Raul's personal quest which I've never been able to do.

The best reason to do Lonesome Road is to shutdown Ulysses and quote right back at him what he has been spewing the entire DLC

Yeah, that whole "you're going to pay for something you don't remember doing" business was a little strange. But it was nice to wrap up the loose end of the other Courier.

I actually got Raul's personal quest this time, which was my first time. He's wearing the Vaquero suit in my playthrough. Once I sent him back to the Lucky 38, he started lurking. Every time I go back there, he's standing in the main room. Just...standing there. He doesn't move around at all. Sometimes he's closer to the elevator, but in general, he stands right by the master bedroom door. It's kind of creepy.

In a way, I almost wish I would have convinced him to remain a mechanic. Not that it would help the lurking.

Now if I could just get Arcade to give me his quest. According to the wiki, he should have by now. Maybe next time, as I think I might have burned myself out on this run.

I don't know, but I hope so. After meeting them both, it would be cool to be able to relate them to each other that way. Well, except for the part where they're not together. I do still wish my Courier could have hooked up with Christine, herself. Heh.

I hate that this was a hoax. At this juncture, FO4 will be the game that causes me to enter the next gen of consoles.

Sadly it's a flair.

If only he could get punished by losing nearly every reddit karma.

It's petty, but at least he should get some sort of slap to his wrists.

I talked down Ulysses then my courier nuked the Legion, she has no love for the Legion and a ally death is not worth it in her eyes.

I don't know about you but someone with that much time in his hands(and that much money apparently) must not be a very productive person. I'd say he's probably already regretting it, he could've bought a new graphics card with that cash, I know I would have.

I don't know who's stupid enough to blow $990 on some elaborate prank to screw with people.

Not so sure they deserve that, I mean most poeple in the legion didn't really choose to be part of the legion.

Lol at everyone calling out for punishment because of a hoax.

Guys ... he paid nearly a thousand bucks to make it, I think that's punishing enough. Besides, I got a good laugh out of it, reading this thread.
