Hi! With Inquisition coming up, I've been wanting to run through DAO and DA2 several times to set up a few world states in preparation. As a result, I want to get through the game as fast as possible, but I don't want to miss anything. Many times throughout the game you're given the "let's go and do the task" option and maybe several lines to investigate a scenario further.

My question is this - will skipping all explanation/investigation dialogue options cause me to miss out on anything?

Thanks!

For sure you will miss the personal quests of companions

If you're already pretty familiar with the dialogue, then you can select the lines and just skip through all the actual conversation. You'll be amazed how fast a game goes like that.

You might not miss out on too much, but personal quests and romances are generally pretty dialogue-dependent, as is companion approval, so it's best not to just skip over dialogue completely.

Also, if you want to do the run throughs then all power to you, but you do know Bioware will be releasing an application called Dragon Age Keep, right? This will allow you to tinker with saves and create world states for Inquisition without actually having to play the previous games.

you can hear all dialogue on youtube.
Some bugs prevent you from hearing all of it.
Plus you can hear deleted convos on youtube.
