The Virmire survivor fits pretty well with Jacob's/Cerberus Scientist mission. Comes right after the coup. It's better for Kaidan though. Ash doesn't say enough in the game in general.

It'd give me incentive to spare Ashley if there was a line in there where she was questioning what she was seeing and what she thought she knew about Cerberus, and my Shepard could bitterly tell her that not everyone in Cerberus is an evil nujob. Ultimately though, I don't see Ashley as listening when it comes to Cerberus. I'm honestly surprised she didn't condemn them as war criminals.

remember that the ONLY side of Cerberus she's seen is the evil nutjob side. You are the one with the "inside knowledge" so to speak, and I think the problem is, as much as she trusts you, nothing you say matches up with anything she's seen of Cerberus.

ME1: Every Cerberus mission ever
ME2: You were "dead" for two years and come back working with Cerberus
ME3: Everything Cerberus does is a hinderance to the war effort

So, why should she just take your word for it? I don't know what it would take for her to believe, but maybe not running into Cerberus goons at every single operation in the galaxy might be a start...

I don't care what word she chooses to listen too. It's her own problem not mine. When and if she becomes a problem, I'll deal with her accordingly.

All I know is that I will defend the tenacity and strength of the people of Cerberus willing to do what they did. They rate much higher in my eyes than Ashley ever could. It's not a matter of if she trusts me, it's a matter of if I trust her to make rational, informed, and logical decisions with the same judgement. I don't trust her at all. Nor do I trust her to see the big picture. That's why she has no place on my team.

On Sur'kesh Garrus and T'soni talk with Kirrahe. My problem with this is that I got Liara after Virmire and either I didn't recruit Garrus or I recruited him after Virmire before getting T'soni. Ashley/Kaidan have met Kirrahe and would be nice to know what dialogue would be exchanged between them.

Take Ashley/Kaidan on the Turian bomb and the Rachni missions

Take Ashley/Kaidan to Virmire for the from ashes dlc

If you get Javik with high ems he has different dialogue on the ship than when if you recruit him at the beginning of the game.

If Tali is not in your playthrough, take James and Liara on the dreadnought. They talk about slavery vs death.

Taking Javik to Thessia is a must. His comment to T'soni about her not studying enough proves she is far from being a Prothean expert

Do the monastery mission after Thessia and you get some interesting dialogue with the Asari councillor

On Chronos I have used all but I like James best with his comments when you first see part of the human reaper. Of course I rather have Miranda on this nission.

Alright just a question: were you an avid supporter of Cerberus in ME1, or did it take until joining them in ME2 and undertaking that mission? If it's the former, then good for you, I just didn' see any of the good they did. However, if it were the latter, then you have to admit yourself, that it took getting to know the inside of the organization in order to support them.

I had no real context into their operations, nor was I preoccupied with what they were doing to a huge extent. I was notionally against them on the basis of them being antagonistic towards me when I encountered them. I was ignorant to their purpose and their goals, and their methods seemed rather violent and excessive. Still, I didn't judge them based on actions alone. I'm not one to base judgement on something on the basis of morality or ethics.

I don't like Cerberus as much as MassivelyEffective, but Ash needs to be able to delve into the subject with some depth at least. Kaidan does. Traynor even does (her comments are the simplest, but most poignant, I think). Ash only a little. I haven't played with an Ash romance though. Maybe she addresses things better that way. She's not as interesting non-romanced though, like Kaidan is.

Why, because you don't like that other people feel differently about the Asari than you? I'd love to let the Asari know that karma is a ****. They fully deserve what they got.

Your Shepard, it would appear, does not believe so.

And yes, Thessia is clearly told to be in a very dire situation as Earth. Also, you see humans fighting in a relatively intact London at the end of the game as well. Most of the buildings are intact. So this

Thessia's only occupied for a short time. It's damaged, but that'll be fixed.

I think Kaidan can see it differently because of his time at BAat. Conetix was a human corporation doing (good) research with (painful) methods. I think that gives him a little more perspective.

I don't care if she sees it differently (in fact, I'd welcome it). She just needs to talk more.. even if it's being argumentative (but actually construct an argument). I guess they're afraid of her coming off like a b*tch (she can't argue back like Kaidan.. cuz boys think women need to know their place derp derp). But I don't think gamers need to be coddled like that.

I didn't even know you could do this. Always believed there was a time limit so to speak, like with Grissom Academy, so always finished those side missions before the main plot missions. Wonder what else I've been missing out on.

Whatever. That's what happens with a race Canon-Sues.

Not that I could tell. As far as I've seen, it's been occupied for at least a week, and likely longer. Going by the standards that Reapers have been killing humans and turians, I'd say millions of Asari are dying every day. Possibly more.

To invoke the battle of the headcanon, Thessia in mine is a scarred wasteland that is, due to the Asari's antics, low on the priority for reconstruction. Deal with it.

It's still a time mission, but yeah.. I've never taken the chance to extend it that far either.

What I do is rescue the Turian squad then cure/sabatoge the genephage and the Citadel coup.  After doing Citadel I do the other two with the bomb first then the rachni.

Not taking Javik to Thessia should be punishable by law

This play through has Liara as LI from ME1 with no love interest from ME2. I can't remember if I took my LI to the Cerberus base the first time, but I'll definitely do it this time :)

Liara has a couple romance specific lines of dialogue on the last Leviathan mission as well.

(After the last Leviathan mission) "I don't want any tentacled creatures inside your mind ... aside of me"
And here people say Liara has no sence of humor.

Thanks. Just about to start a new game so I'll give this a try.

I like bringing Garrus and James or Kaidan and Javik. It just depends on which enemy I'm facing.

You sure? We have no estimate for how long it takes to rebuild Thessia. It could take centuries.
